The Bathurst Speed weekend is on 1-2 December (only 10 weeks away).

Who is coming along?

Kel and I are entering the race car (as long as I don't smash it before then).

It is a hillclimb and supersprint at the Bathurst track, 2 days of great fun. About $100 each day from memory.

Red on Saturday (supersprint), blue on Sunday (hillclimb)

Last time we went up it included Mark (88silhouette), Ray Dean with the 31 GTS-R, Steve with the 350, Gary (sydneykid), Ian, Tosh, Scott and a couple of others, plus the HCC guys. Neil and that whining girl Chris, was the only one keeping the side up last year. A great weekend away for a group.

I'm going to Wakefield on Sunday now, if you're interested, get in early, it fills up fast. Let me know if you want forms for Wakefield.

Oh bugger! I've just found out this is the same Sunday as Timespan at Wakefield. Its normally only the hillclimb at the back, but this one is going to almost be a full circuit (finish line just before pit entry).

If anyone is interested in Wakefield, you will need to get in early because its in demand. Its $80 and you will need either a Wakefield licence or L2S from memory (not compulsory to be a club member for this one).

Pretty cheap day, all timed by Timespan, winners receive certficates.

Once again, if you need help with what you need to get your car ready, we're happy to help where we can, its pretty easy, don't even need to be road registered, but do need to pass scrutineering i.e. tyres, seat belts (standard or racing), fire extinguisher, steering (play), wheel bearings (play), blue triange (battery location... we use blue masking tape from bunnings) all simple stuff, sounds more effort than it really is.

GET IN EARLY FOR THIS ONE. We can cruise to Goulburn and put on a Skyline turnout LOL

So you just need the wakefield license that you get from going to the track for the speed of the streets????

Yes, I was told yesterday that your Wakefield licence is enough for this event if you have one already, but you still need to enter. I'll try to get an electronic version of the entry forms/supp regs and I'll pop them up here.

I can't stress enough how important it is to get in early though, Timespan events at Wakefield are popular.

hillclimb??? Where is the hill at wakefield?

Red line shows where the hillclimb would normally run... its not a very steep hill, but tight as hell

Where I understand the 2nd December sprint event will be running... give or take a few metres and will finish in time to pull off into pit lane and miss the straight.

The entry fee for both events is $120 each. and the hillclimb is not up the esses(that is the 4th nov next week end, thats $115) it's mountain straight to the top.

Hurry up with entrys cause it's filling quick for december..... i'll be there, got my forms in for all 3 and they are confirmed

I would have gone to Bathurst, except Im going to Wakefield instead (Dec 2) for Timespan Hillclimb (as per my previous post).

If anyone is interested, Wakefield fills up fast for this event and is $80 (which isn't bad for a timed event at Wakie). Ive posted the entry forms and supp regs in my earlier post.

Who wants to cruise up to Wakie together?

PS: Bathurst sounds awesome too

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
