Help? - Rb20det

Hey Guys,

my boyfriend has an r32 gtst, and has been recently overheating. He changed the water pump but the idiot didn't mark the timing before he took the belt off.

It went into a mechanic to be fixed up but was still missin... in the end, he finds out that there is 0 compression in his 1st cylinder, and 150 in the others.

Now he thinks he needs a bran new rb20.

Some business on e-bay called "Lewis engines" has persuaded him to send his engine down, and they will send him a new one with a head of other add-ons (im not too sure what) for $4,200! To me - this sounds VERY SUS!

Can anybody recommend what we should do, or even other workshops that will send perfectly good rb20's? and if possibe a roundabout price for one?

go to the wreckers and find an rb20, they arent much these days.

Another option is to buy a few magazines like High Performance Imports and have a look at some of the advertisements.
