I believe R33_racer is pushing 400rwkw odd with 265 slicks on his rb25/30 r33 race car.

sky30 is pushing 400rwkw but behind 4wd and that box is still holding well.

If you go slapping gears really hard the box may not live but realistically who needs to slap gears with a 300rwkw+ rb30. :thanks:

Roll on the throttle and they smoke the first few gears with ease.

400rwkw is a lot for a stock 25box with all the torque of a rb25/30. Iv done a bit of research on the ppg dog box but for 9 grand and all the head f**k for the streets i might just stay with the rb25 box and maybe some billet items. At first il just be using a high flow then in time il be looking at maybe a t04z or gt3540 Still doing research on them.

lol yeah 225's are pizza cutters but they do hook up much better than cheap wide tyres.

Not just wide but good rubber is a must. Steer well clear of cheap wide rubber its nasty.

It still manages to sprint to 100km/h in ~4.8secs but with quite a huge struggle for traction until a little over 100km/h.

First is useless I short shift, grab second then its part throttle wheelspin through second trying to get it to hook up a little, grab third then it starts to squirm a little pull off the throttle a little then back on it and its all good.

From 60km/h the car is quicker in third than it is in second.

I edited the last post because I am a sensible person. :thanks:

But yeah street tyres with the rb25t box is not a problem.

my mum sent me this LOL. goes to the tune of "I Will Survive"

At first I was afraid, I was petrified.

When you said you had 10 inches, son of rajab I almost died!

But I'd spent so many years just waiting for a man that long,

That I grew strong, and I knew that I could take you on...

But there you are, another lie,

I was ready for a Big Mac and you've brought me a French fry!

I should have known that it was bulls***t, just a sad pathetic dream

Should have known there was no Anaconda lurking in those Jeans!

Go on now - go! , Walk out the door,

Don't you promise me 10 inches, then turn up with only 4!

Weren't you a brat to think I wouldn't find you out!?

Don't you know we're only joking when we say size don't count??

[Chorus]

I will survive! I will survive!

Cuz as long as I have batteries,

My sex life's gonna thrive!

I will always have good sex,

With a handful of latex!

I will survive! I will survive! Hey! Hey!

It took all my self control not to laugh out loud,

When I saw your little wiener standing tall and proud!

But to hell with your ego and to hell with all your needs,

Now I'm saving all my lovin' for a cordless multispeed!

[Chorus]

I will survive! I will survive!

Cuz as long as I have batteries,

My sex life's gonna thrive!

I will always have good sex,

With a handful of latex!

I will survive! I will survive! Hey! Hey!

    • If there's enough meat in the housing where you want to put the M12 adapter, then do it, but be aware that if/when you f**k that up you'll probably be repairing it before doing anything else. I'd just drill it out and tap ina 1/4" thread. No need for rocket surgery when the next most obvious thing will do. You could throw a 1/4 x 1/8 bush in there and use the same fitting you intended to use.
    • Is the only issue that the oil catch can is getting filled on hard runs? I'd be thinking more about oil control issues rather then the head lifting, especially as you aren't seeing spiking in the coolant pressure.  Do you need restrictors in the head, or better drains from the head? Does the sump need venting to the catch can?
    • Tried to make 1/8npt threads into compressor house of the turbo for my EBC. Threads got fu#ked and ended up with and elongated hole, so I do have good amount and nice threads 90% of the hole but 10% I only had 1-2threads there and rest of it is flush on that side of the hole.. So my idea is to do M12 x 1.25 to AN4 with braided lines instead of 1/8npt to 4mm vacuum silicone hose.  and hopefully get a better thread. M12 is quite big and AN4 is a little bit bigger than 4mm (4.9mm inner diameter braided PTFE hose). but this should work. Thoughts? Otherwise I will weld and adapter onto the turbo.
    • Looks great, I hope everything is working well after all that time!
