hey chaDD when u get ur turbos?

Hey AdriaNN, i dont know, its been over a month since i paid for them and they still have not been sent, i sent an email and am waiting for a reply, if i dont get an email back in the next few days then i will have to do something about it.

hey Ryan, im thinkin of gettin an LSD centre or mini spool in the 31, what are your recommendations ?

Hey kisin, being 28 spline and borg warner i believe the EA-EF XR6 LSD centre is a straight fit. I looked into this years ago but ended up welding up several diffs and eventually wackin a minispool in. If you hit up the 31 forums im sure there is some info on the xr6 LSD centre, PM DVSR31 and ask him as i believe he did this a few years ago. OR you can have the LSD out of my silo and ill have your open wheeler for small cash bonus my way if you want )

hey all,

i am thinking of pushing my rb25det to 300 rwkw been told by many the engine will handle it!

just want to know if everyone else thinks the same, thanks

what turbo are you thinking of using craig? There's heaps of topics in the forced induction thread about this so have a sus mate.

All the rb25det's I've known to last have had the headgasket done and a set of cams to make 300rwkw reliably.

True, but there's a few that have lasted that are unopened...Mafia on these forums has had an unopened rb25det for quite some time pushing on 300rwkw....but as the saying goes, its all in the tune. The most common failures on rb25's is the ring lands (mainly on no6) but once again that comes down to the tune. Being a higher compression motor its very wise to change the headgasket to a metal one i think 1.1mm thick (dont quote me on that).

Cheers Ryan!

Jess, sadly that's the police and their priorities

Yeah I know what you mean, we know our local highway patrol by first name cause get pulled over a bit

It is the 1991 Winning GTR.

I made one mistake... I couldn't handle it sitting in the box so I removed it and shoved it in a plastic box to look at every day lol.

Very Nice!! I got one of them, now just need to get the winfield car at a decent price! dont really wanna pay up to a $1000

Nah. Got the missus doing some of the driving also.

also got loads of DVDs to watch on the way there, so will be entertained nonetheless.

:D

haha good stuff!

You definately need a bit of entertainment on teh way, not much to look at :D

has anybody been able to find the 1991 or 1992 bathurst on Video or DVD yet..........Andrew (Nightcrawler) any luck bud?

They sell the 91 -92 bathurst race highlight's dvd on ebay : http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Highlights-of-Bathu...Q2em118Q2el1247

I used to have a copy it's really good watching and bit of a laugh at the old the commentary and channel 7 :)

Nah, no specs anywhere else jess, but can find out what design my mate built it from.

Basic specs i know off the top of my head (as its been built to suit my 31)

Deck (being usable area)

Length: 4.5m

Width: 2m (suits 1.8m track of my 31)

Ramps: 3m long, weight ~50kg each (mainly due to the 4mm thick mesh we used)

Axles: 2x 1.4t 45mm square axles with 10" electric brakes mounted on 6 leaf roller rocker suspension ("spring under" configuration.....could have done "spring over" but would have raised the overall trailer height by 4")

Trailer is unoficially rated at 2.8T (purely on max axle rating), but after shepparton we're getting it all looked at and the thumbs up given.

If you're keen for a motorbike trailer, i'll give ya my mate's number via PM and you can discuss the exact needs with him (he measured up my car to specifically build this for me, but handily suits most nissans..............wont fit a hachi or anything smaller though)

And some more piccies..............with the car loaded on

Very Nice Matty!!

Does the 31 overhang at the back much?

We need the long ramps as well, lucky the GTR front bars have that plastic lip at the bottom cause at least its flex's a bit as rubs when using short ramps

for EDDYFIER nothing major just a tweak i wanted to see how it looked with the rear transparent

EDIT

#2 is better with out line all around maybe

Cheers! Yeah, the second one is definitely the better of the two. When I get round to taking some pictures for myself I'll make a new one up for you to tinker with.

my whole server is down at work we cant do ant work or take orders lol and its national everyone cant do nothing

This one is for Steve

*Can't do anything

im bored.

EDIT thats better Steve

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
