the trust ones that jenkies is interested in. If they are similar to the N1 , id say they are fairly responsive, similar to a stock turbo, but build alot stronger so they can handle more boost.

i tried the search function but got nuthin

so ima ask it here, whats the widest wheel you can get on a 32 gtr? and the ofset you need to acheive this?? guessing around the 10-11 mark?? would be for a 18 inch wheel aswell

10inch wide with a +18 offset....

just wondering if anyone knew much about greddy t517z x2 suit gtr. power potential, posatives and negatives

cheers in advance

hey mark, where ya been bud?

I'm no expert on these snails but I think you may find they have journal style bearings as opposed to the Garrett style ball bearing

carl, what did you use for your glovebox setup? (materials)

its a piece of black plastic that is about 4mm thick that has been cut as a facade, and have put a couple gauges in there... used to have ebc inthere too, but i choose to abide the law nao

i'll prolly be at villis if u wanna see it, im planning on re-doing it soon

I've been doing a fair bit of research on new snails...

t517z x2: Beware theres 2 types of housings, an 8cm and 10cm one. 8cm is equivilent to GT5860-7(HKS GTSS), 10's = GT5680-5(HKS GTRS) and SLED is correct that they aren't Ball Bearing. From what I've heard quite linear quite peaky compared to the Garrets.

The -5 is bigger than the -7 if that makes any sense.

Some specs here: Gtr twin turbo comparisons

I've settled for a set of 34N1's because they're supposed to be similar to stock response.

so that would be bout a 275ish???

i got 275s on mine dont ask me what rim size n offset though dont know. tires start getting pretty expensive at that size by the way :)

ur welcome to have a look when i get it going again.

    • So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.
    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
