Nice find Damo

OMG ... Pete has turned into an caravan touring old man!

Would you like some tea with your scones while you watch the campers roll by? :P

Haha, you're a funny boy........I've been touring in a caravan for 5 years, nothing has changed bud......time to cut back on work and live a little!

Will eventually get into a '94 V-Spec 32 if I can find a mint one.

anyone want a slab of piss (or cash adjustment) to take my injectors out? i went thru the hassle last time so cbf doin it again, got em supposedly fixed and now there still leaking, so have to take em back to the workshop.

Pete:

My dad recently bought a 200 series cruiser GXL also (TTV8D), nice car! Fuel consumption isn't as great as toyota lead you to believe, BUT your right, enough torque to pull a house down :P

When pulling his 2T (fully loaded) camper trailer around NT/QLD mid last year he was averaging about 18L/100 from memory, whereas unloaded he would get about 12L/100. That was sitting on Highway speeds whenever possible, and more often than not 80+ on the dirt "highways".

Nice cars though :P

Pete, a few pages back, I managed to find a heap of 32 GTR's (not V-spec's) but they had genuine 30,000k's and stuff like that on them... basically garaged for years! They were going for about 25-30k.

It wouldn't be hard to find a mint condition one! There's still plenty left in Japan. You just need to fork out a bit for them.

Rhys, with your injectors, did you just replace the O ring? The actual injector might be split (happened with mine)

supposedly they where all looked over, cleaned, seals replaced and tested. but i dont belive this for a number of reasons

Damo & Chronic, nice finds boys but I won't even look at a GTR unless it's a V-Spec and mint late model V-Specs are indeed rare.

yeah I drove my VZ Berlina to Melbourne and left it at the Toyota dealer then drove the 200 back........at highway speeds I got 10.5L/100.........will be interesting to see how it goes towing 2.5 tonne.

    • all brand new unit from Tomei, fluid, bearings, etc. Tomei said they call it a 1.5 lsd because its 100 percent lock up under acceleration and 50 percent under deacceleration.  as I mentioned I used their fluid, install and their break-in procedure, (alot of figure 8's) but even when driving straight, or even slowly backing out of garage for first time, (at 2 mph) then driving to and from figure 8 parking lot, each tire in the rear would sporadically grab, skip, bounce, shutter and skip, shutter back a force I could feel causing clutch to slip then grab, at any speed. shaking entire car. I removed unit, since I put stock back in and all is fine, via process of elimination, its something with the lsd unit itself. I wasn't going to beat up the entire car more or change anything else for no reason as I had a feeling something in the lsd itself was wrong as everything was fine before this alone was installed and I rechecked over everything else after first time backing out I suspected an issue. I'll probably sadly already need new tires now just from trying to drive it 5 miles and performing the figure 8 break in. but if someone has any ideas I'm all ears
    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
