Yeah he said that Royal Purple is really good but heaps expensive.

I would be able to get this oil at cost price cos I work with him, that the main reason why im interested in its performance.

I use Royal Purple in my car! :P

might give RP a go when i do my next oil change. maybe. but i can get 300V at cost... so ill probably just use that again.

Take Gillies advice from the Castrol commercial:

"Car's don't need to be warmed up. Just turn the key and away you go."

Good on ya, Gillies. I'll take that sound advice from such a knowledgeable man.

Does anyone here use ULX 110 Oil??????

Yep I know the oil and the state distributor who I worked with at Adelaide Engine Service many years ago.....good stuff.

It's not actually made here, it's imported from the US and blended then bottled here.

I don't use anything else....but stick to the regular change intervals suggested by your owner's manual.

Just quietly.....I think Troy was living under a rock in the USA :P .

Seriously though, many Top Fuellers use it and reputable dyno shops sell it, ie: Boostworx, Hi Tech Dyno, Graham West, and I think TurboTune (not sure on that one) etc etc.

Not to mention Adelaide's own Marco in the Keith Black powerered '57 Chev.

Sorry Pete? Couldn't hear you. My hearing is still damaged from that top fueller :P

on a slightly different note, this what I posted in that last thread that got moved to the Mods & Admins discussion area before you all had a chance to view it.

Normally I'm a little more forgiving than Andrew but due to that 9 page effort a little while ago (1/2 of it full of IBTL's) that pissed me off, I distinctly remember saying that I'm over reading pages and pages of that crap.

Hence why all 3 of you would've got an official warning but Andrew beat me to it and has obviously let you off the hook.

EDIT: Ripp3r, you've obviously just joined recently to flog your dirty wares me thinks and unless you've been hiding under a rock all your life, you should know better that to try and flog this kind a crap on a public forum, so regardless of Nightcrawler's leniency, you will not be escaping the banstick.

I won't bring up the names of the other 2 now cause I think you got the message.

    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
    • Talk about noisy. Even when I still had the Tomei under the car I could distinctly hear the tires rolling. And I doubt I ever will need maximum grip like on a track. My GTR will maybe never even see the 600hp mark and I need to get used to the car quite a bit before challenging the limits of its handling. For the next winter storage I think I will get a set of these rubber drive-on thingies that have a tire shaped base. Those supposedly really help prevent flat spots.
    • Well our climate is definitely way less hot overall and the weather can be quite picky at times. I just know that during normal road use or even spirited drives there is no way I'd be able to consistently stay in the operating temperature, and constantly changing the tire pressure would also be a royal pain.
    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
