they just talked about turning the old talem bend mitsu plant into drag strip.. 1.6km's baby!

7news that was!!

thats the shittest idea ive heard all day, how you going to get a broken car home from the track and who wants to drive 1.5 hours to go see some drags

they should turn the mitsi lonsdale plant into a motorkhana complex.

i marshalled a couple there in the carpark for the porsche club... it would be perfect

now thats a better idea for motorkhana

Just got a couple questions directed at the mods.

Ive noticed in the last few months alot of posts have been deleted. Most are crap, yes I agree.

but - Ive seen some valid posts where people are asking simple questions they may want to know the answer to.. Wasteland is swamped with crap most of the time and if someone wants to know something car related why cant they open a thread without the harsh rude crap ibtl etc etc that most people have to say straight after.

I just went through every other state's SAU forums. They dont seem to close threads nearly as often.

I think some people would like answers. After all its a forum. Its almost like a race atm to see who can close threads.

Just something I've picked up on.

dont forget the $50 handshake.

i dont get the slagging on donnon for not rocking up to vilis/sau meets/cruises, what the dude does on his time is his choice, and the post count reference blew me away, so what hes been here for longer than most of us and has only made 300 something posts, he speaks when its important, and doesnt post crap to fill time like a lot of us are guilty of.

Check the date, lol that might be the problem

No. Its a whiteboard (when someone puts a static image up for a purpose - usually to display a takedown notice).

Cmon, you cant tell me you guys missed that faint grey 'www.nocleanfeed.com' ?

I think people are using it to prove a point.

-D

EDIT - A quick check of the website source code says it all.

Maybe theyre the victim of someone compromising their FTP server and uploading a new index.html but I think this is more an inside job considering the crudeness of the image ;P

EDIT 2 - Or maybe someone just decided to test out the april fools joke 4 days too early...

As said above ^^ some of you are post whores and are out to get as many posts as you can . :)

Have a go at me aswell and se what it gets you ,you disrespectful tools.

You can read a forum so I suggest you get of your fat asses and pick up a copy of high performance imports magazine and see how much Martin knows.

More than most of you put together.

I have copys from 21 onwards that you could read If you want to learn something other than shooting off your mouths.

Martin has helped most of you indirectly if your car goes to a workshop for tuning or mods .

Show some RESPECT.

Ive noticed in the last few months alot of posts have been deleted. Most are crap, yes I agree. Correct...you may be referring to the one you made about ass licking or kissing in Nene's thread, yeah?!

but - Ive seen some valid posts where people are asking simple questions they may want to know the answer to.. Wasteland is swamped with crap most of the time and if someone wants to know something car related why cant they open a thread without the harsh rude crap ibtl etc etc that most people have to say straight after. I hate IBTL's as well, but what does it tell you about the thread when even the members all jump in and do that?!.....it's either in the wrong place or a stupid question that gets asked week after week (the search button is your friend) or its offensive in some manner.

I just went through every other state's SAU forums. They dont seem to close threads nearly as often. You're kidding right....you've clearly never met R31Nismoid or visited the Group Buy thread.....I'm a big pussycat in comparisson, lol.

I think some people would like answers. After all its a forum. Its almost like a race atm to see who can close threads. Correct, and all the Mods & Admins are in agreeance.......it's clean up time for the very reasons discussed in the other thread where SAU was going downhill and older members have left through either intimidation or the crap they have to put up with. As Nightcrawler says regularly, it's a new era Preiss.

Just something I've picked up on.

what are you implying with your threat......suggest you take a deep breath before you say something you're gonna regret!

Just words Pete . Just trying to make a point .

Having a go at Martin for only having 300+ posts , so waiting for some one to have a go at me LOL

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
