Ball Bearing Turbos - Noise On Shutdown?

Is it normal for about 3 seconds after engine shutdown to hear what sounds like air escaping around the turbo?

I was thinking maybe it is the turbo shaft and impellers slowing down. Even if you idle for a while then shutdown it still does it.

I think all the air is out of the cooling system.

I hear the same noises from my steel wheel turbos. It's the impellers slowing down

thanks fellas - couldn't hear it with the stockie so wondered if it was in fact "normal".
