Welcome :P

First couple of things to do are usually full exhaust, split dump hi flow cat. Bigger intercooler always helps. bigger injectors. Just little things like that.

This might give you a few ideas on what to do.

Thanks do you know where would be a good place to do get an exhaust? I live in the Liverpool area any good mechanics around? and what is split dump hi flow cat, Mate of mine says to get a full exhaust and air filter. Any brand recommendations for exhaust?

There are a lot of group buys on the forums which offer split dump pipes

This is a split dump pipe.

compared to the standard one.

They say that they are less restrictive. But i'm not sure how true that is.

Hi flow cat is a less restrictive catalytic converter.

Full exhaust goes from turbo right through to the back.

Air filters are good just remember that pod's are illegal in nsw unless they are fully enclosed. ARC make fully enclosed boxes.

I would make a post in Forced Induction Performance and ask what the best exhaust would be for the 34.

If you are looking for a decent exhaust try either.

Is your car turbo or non-turbo ?

Anyway I've done my full exhaust system at liverpool exhaust but it wasn't for my skyline. http://www.liverpoolexhaust.com.au/

They do custom mandrel bent exhaust systems. I've seen 2 GTR's at this place on the one day so it's probably worth having a look and giving them a call.

thanks for the tips guys, I don't wanna do my car up to much just thinking about maybe a full exhaust system, what other mods should I do so my car gets some decent power gain without having to go on the dyno and tune the petrol...My car is also a turbo. Got chopped by my mates MPS what mods do you guys recommend so I can keep up and posibly beat him also.

All you can really do is a full exhaust and a panel filter upgrade in terms of power upgrades. A valvebody upgrade for the auto will sharpen shifts considerably which will make you faster.

Please don't talk about racing your mates on the street on the forums.

a full exhaust, front mount intercooler, ungrade the panel filter, and a boost controller will do the job

all the aparts can easily bought from SAU traders and Performance shops, and shouldnt dent your wallet for more than $1500..

I'd suggest keeping the stock intercooler while you have the stock turbo. Much better response. If you get a good zorst and inlet filter of some sort your boost will rise probably enough that you wont need a boost controller.

i'm thinking about taking the car to livo exhaust to do it cause of your guys suggestion...looking at the post where i can get all the parts for $1,500 sounds good but then i need a mechanic to fit all the parts can any mechanic do the job? i also read somewhere that if i boost the car i will need a new turbo also...i am planning to spend 5k in total for the car.

$5k

Well not seeing the car and assuming it is stock.

And WE ARE TALKING ABOUT RACING ON A TRACK!!!! AND NOT THE STREETS!!!

Then it is not all power you might need.

Suspension is good

Computer eg Power FC

cam gears

plus doing the exhaust i would imagine around the 250rwkw+ mark

With this you will have handling with good power without doing any internals.

powerFc's are hard to get now though? Unsure of the 34 series though.

If you boost your standard turbo - it will shorten its life.

5k hey?

Full exhaust.

front mount intercooler.

Electronic boost controller set to 10psi

Fuel cut defender

this will work, however depending on age of the vehicle etc, fuel pump might start running out of puff.

then you'll need that.

You'll get hungry for more power.

then next thing you know you have got a hi-flow turbo, injectors, z32 AFM, powerFC......

oops, thats my story! :(

if 5k is all you have at the moment

Id be looking at...

full exhaust and a free flowing airfilter.

suspension - see sydneykid - get some nice springs and shocks and sway bars

brakes - RDA/DBA series are a good upgrade, or just some good pads.

Thats a nice all round streeter package - and under 5k.

lol wont see over 200rwkw r u serious?? full exhaust, cooler 14psi and advance ur timing lyk ive done and u will see over 200rwkw. mines pushing 209.7rwkw on 14psi loves every moment of it. call up any performance shop ask them wat power u want they will tell u wat u need. dont listen 2 cat back exhausts with standard cooler owners telling u what to do. my 2cents. Good day!!

Please show me a stock r34 that puts out 250rwkw with just zorst and ecu.

Sorry i shouldn't have said won't see over 200rwkw, cause i know you can, even on an r33. Just not reliably, and not by much. R34 turbos handle upping the boost a bit better than the r33, but 250rwkw?? Happy to be proven wrong, and if you can do it give me the tips so i can get 250rwkw without having to do those pesky things like replace injectors, afm, turbo etc etc.

209.7rwkw falls about 40rwkw short of the claimed amount...

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
