Got a twin plate for you...

Depends on what model your GTR is though!

If its a 1994 late model then its a pul type clutch..

If before then it is a push type..

I have an OS GIKEN push type twin plate and a NISMO GMAX II pull type, both reconditioned, lokking at $1000 for either

Merli,

I have seen some of your posts and you seem to know whats going on...

Have a read of the latest Zoom magazine and youll see that you never have to replace hte stock GTR BOV's. they flow ample enough air for any one that will grace the pages of this forum and dont leak like some a/m BOV's....

Just athought, not burning anyone here...

Firstly, MINES, you have too many cars. Give me one :):D;)

Tom, I've owned 3 skylines so far, and I've got two at the moment, so I've been through a lot with these cars...

I'm running standard BOVs on my 97 V-Spec, and I don't plan to change them anytime soon. Apparently they'll hold boost upto 1.4 bar, but I'm not entirely sure. I'll tell you after I've sourced some HKS GT2530s and dialed up 1.6 bar :bahaha:

Although it may be true that they don't leak boost, many people like to make doubly sure by fitting an aftermarket BOV.... Either that or they just like the sound of an externally venting BOV... If you stick to the large manufacturers like HKS, Apexi, Trust, you can be sure that they will hold a lot more boost than stock ones. Whether you need it or not is another question.

Oh, and there are some EXTREMELY high powered GTR owners on SAU... :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

Im sure there are some extreme GTR's on SAU, no doubt....

You will find that the HKS GT2530 is only good for about 1.3-1.4 bar boost!

Oh yeah, HKS super sequentials are terrible for leaking under boost and at idle on BCNR33 GTR's, trust me from experience!

I've been told that the 2530s are efficient upto 1.4 bar, but you can screw a little bit more power out of them at 1.5-1.6 bar...

Although it's not as efficient, there is a little more power available at 1.5 bar... Any more than 1.6 bar and you're just feeding your engine hot air.

Anyway, I'll have to wait and see after I've sourced some good 2530s :)

    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together
    • I'm getting PTSD flashbacks seeing that name again.  With my turbo swift, I got 1,500km of street use on a Jim Berry clutch before it exploded and took out my input shaft with it.
