i just went to the 1st stop (ttp) and met with everyone, and there was some very nice lines out!

im fairly new to SAU and its good to meet you alland thanks to flick for coming over and introducing herself hehe :(

was a good run last nite, well done flick (even if we did have a detour)

hope nobody minded my commie coming along............handles surprisingly well thru the hills

and anyone who talked to my mate in the evo bout fibreglass repairs, drop me a PM if you want his details. he does some very good work ;)

I am also new to sau. I rocked up to the 1st stop in the missus new green machine lol. A lot of really niice cars out, great job! Hopefully next time ill be able to bring my car out ;)

yea def bring your 31 out next time josh, i wanna see how it goes with the rb20det in it man, if your bringin it to bens tonite ill see it haha

Finally get to reply! Cheers to everyone that came out, was a pretty good turn out for a short notice cruise.

Hope everyone enjoyed it, maybe next time we will make it a bit longer through the hills. Sorry for the U-turn, i cant read maps haha.

Was good to catch up with a familiar faces aswell as a few new ones!

I have a few photos, nothing much.. ill try get em up later. Was maybe 20 cars at first spot? and i think 12 for the 2nd half of the run.

Maybe next cruise will have a bit more notice, for less than a weeks notice for the cruise was a decent turn out. I didnt have time to plan a route, and had never run this one before, but was ok i thought. More hills next time for sure tho. Thanks again Lee for sending me the notes. Most times we decide to cruise we just get to meet spot and then have no plans, so least it was a little more organized. Was a nice night for cruising too,

gotta do it more often!

forgive me if I'm wrong but i think for little runs like this a weeks notice is perfect to much notice = to many people then its best suited to a day cruise somewhere ?? thoughts??

i would of come but my passenger pulled out so i took the easy route and pulled out also, don't get me wrong Luke it really didn't bother me that you pulled out so don't think i'm e-bashing you :D was quiet glad sort of due to being in the sun that day @ Jema's sports day gave me a little headache also

was a good cruise, little more hills woulda been fun, but still a very enjoyable run. Yes, dont blame me for the wrong turn, that was all flick.

Me driving, and flick goes ok next you have to turn right to get here, i look for the right, then i here 'oh crap, we needed to take the left back there to get to the right' oops.

Hehe, we just added abit to the cruise. See you all next time, was good to meet a few more people.

yeah true steve, just seems most cruises ive been on have had alot more notice. Day cruises are good for large groups I agree.

Havent had time to put photos up, i been a little lazy actually.

    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
