I'm need to borrow a stock boost solenoid for obvious reasons ASAP. So *somebody* must have one sitting in there car, or garage unused.

If you have any sort of bleed valve or other boost controller installed, you will have a spare one. Hell, even if you don't know what it is, I'll come show you. If you have any sort of boost controller, it will be sitting in your car spare and unused.

Needs to be an R33 valve, although R32 could be the same (anybody know for sure?)

Need it ASAP (by wednesday at the latest). Will return the following week.

come on.. don't make me slap you all...

u all got one.. i just need to borrow it .. i'll come by and pick it up, even take it off your car for you (5 min job).

Most of the time its just sitting in there for decoration, as most workshops just leave it bolted on and disconnected once they install a bleed valve or EBC.

raza: thanx, if u could track it down that would be great. Its a little cylinder thing about 5cm high with a couple of house points into it on the left strut tower (just below power steering reservior). Most places just leave it bolted in. If they put on an EBC they should give it back to you.. its yours after all.

riggaP: why else does one return a car to stock for a day? Mine was long since removed unfortunately, so don't have one to stick back on.

Thanx Ula.. yours is a GTR though - doesn't it run different stock boost to the gts-t's ?

will keep it in mind if I can't find one of a GTS-T

Eastern suburbs preferred as well :D but will come collect anywhere if i have to.

Well I had lined up with Raza.. hehe... ok, might be easier seeing as you're eastside too.

I work 9-5 during the day in Box Hill. I'll give u a call tonight most likely. Can meet somewhere lunchtime and borrow it. Will be much appreciated!

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
