OoskylineoO
hey guys, i ahve a question, i am getting a 2.5'' catbak and a hi flo cat, would it be a major problem if i got a 3''cat? does a 3''cat mean the whole thing is bigger than a 2.5''cat or does it jus mean the size of the piping to suit? Basti
the whole thing will be bigger inc piping i think. you dont really need it on a 2.5 system but it does no harm Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/194038-hi-flo-cat/#findComment-3480263 Share on other sites

Yes if you weld it it will be ok as long as the flanges match. Metal cats.. unless the engine is working at very high RPM or your at least pushing 200kw.. dont bother.. you will see absolutely no gain.. GTS4WD
Yip.. dont bother.. on such low pwer applications it will not help Theres the ghetto way and knock the contents out of the cat - this will lead to black buildup on the rear bar.. louder exhaust tone according to applications and mods.. and occasionally small flames out of the exhaust.. GTS4WD
Mate.. in all seriousness.. Spend the money on a set of headers.. you will acutally see gains with these opposed to a cat.. Page isnt responding.. but the money is worth spent in other places of the car.
