Bosch 040 Fuel Pump Noise

I have a bosch 040 fuel pump installed in my gtst r33, i noticed when i have the aircon on and when i'm in traffic and have the car in first gear the fuel pump make a whining noise as opposed to not having the aircon on where it's just a slight hissing sound, is this normal? apart from that there is nothing wrong, just the difference in noise. I only got the pump installed about 4 months ago , it was brand new.

Myabe your aircon is making the noise

They can and do make all sorts of wierd and wonderful noises.

Mine's on it's way out and i have metal grinding noises.

^ ^ The 040 does make a loud hissing noise. That's normal. Maybe you can check your a/c and see if it's from there

no it's coming from the outside, back right corner, i stuck my head out the window and i can hear it from the back, it does have a hissing noise but it changes sound when the aircon is on, it changes to a whining noise

if it is the fuel pump, then its to do with the extra load put on the engine when the air con is on, i reckon if you ran direct power to the pump it wouldnt change noise.

rear right is definitely the 040. . Don't worry too much about it dude
