They look good on a racecar as they serve a purpose but dumb on a street poser. Sorry it's only my opinion but put one on your car and 99.9% of the public will be laughing their asses off at you and think you're a knob.

If that's the reaction you want then go for it.

My missus is a car nut but while waiting for me after work told me about this stupid looking 350z with a oversized wing drive past. Guess what it was blue. Sure stands out but for all the wrong reasons

Cheers

Chris

Well then i must be in the .1% of population that think they look good. R34 that is ur opinion and not generally the opinion of 99.9% of the public. personally i think ur a knob. this thread is about GT WINGS and where u can get em. obviously by a person that wants one and likes them. dont you think it is more constructive to help the person get a decent priced/ quality wing then to sit here and write comments like those above.

But then what can i say. SAU is turning into a bunch of hardcore elitist racers isnt it. *sigh*

Simplelogic i think the spoiler on ur car looks mad. i would love to go for a ride in it one day even if it is an NA. MMMM suplah :D

Psiker your a TOOL

SAU is turning into a WHORES WASTELAND with no substance or meaning lately.

If you where around from DAY 1 which Chris was, you would have seen how much he has contributed and helped others. If it wasnt for guys like Chris and Ken the WA section would be of a much lower standard.

Before you go shooting your mouth off and not really adding anything of value to the thread or forum ..... choose your words carefully.

Well i beg ur pardon but calling someone a knob because they like GT wings IMO does not add to the Value or quality of this site. i only used the word "knob" because he refered to simplelogik as a "knob" have a read of the whole thread mate not just the end. And yes i do know how much value Ken and Chris have added and i generally agree with most of their comments. except this one. i have talked to them both at cruises before and actually think they are both top blokes with plenty of info for ppl like me who are trying to get started into the import scene. I just think that maybe comments like 99.9% of the population will think u are a knob if u put on a Wing. thats not helpful or constructive. If u dont like Gt wings why bother posting comments like that in this thread. Maybe he could have said "instead of a GT wing why dont u go the GTR spoiler option etc."

I agree also SAU is getting "whorey" but it is also getting elitist with people bagging out even the slightest bit of rice. If the rice bagging doesnt slow down this forum will turn into street commodore.com who love posting topics like. "I chopped an excel last night"

I havent been here from day one i admit that. but i did read these forums a lot before i even made my first post. In the end what it comes down to is the person will do to their car what the person wants to do to the car no matter what u say. A persons car is part of their identity and other people dont have the right to call people "Gay" or a "knob" because they like a certain thing on a car

thanx

No need to make it personal mate as I was only voicing my opinion and stated as such.I called no one a knob for liking them just aired what others impression of you would be.

Simplelogik

For some reason my webbrowser has only just let me view the pic of your car and let me tell you IMHO your car looks great and the wing is nothing like the size of the wing on the other white Supra I saw or the blue 350Z. I'll have a ride if it's on offer anyday :(

Cheers

Sorry :)

and for the record i hate excels :( but yes i know ppl who think they are way cool.

didnt mean to make it personal i just tend to get a bit steamed up when people seem to show no tolerance of other people and what they like which alot of ppl on this forum usually do :)

IMO u are not one of those people

Daniel

i dont believe i patronized you in anyway. and if u feel i did im sorry.

this has been resolved IMO i believe. Yes i acted in the same way but on the same token there was no reason for u to make the comments u made by calling me a TOOL. so technically u behaved in the same way as well.

have a full read of my posts please u will find that on the whole i agree with ur comments. there was no need for u to make the above post

When I consider this issue I think my objections are not the concept of GT wings (after all my R34 had that style as std ) but the size of them. Simplelogik’s car looks great but some look so tall that a stiff crosswind would bend them.

    • Pressure when IDLING, is meant to be 51PSi... So that amperage value needs to go up a fair chunk... I'd personally be factoring for more like 12amp at least on those runs, and at that point you need to hope the already there wiring doesn't drop you a volt or two, as that's a lot of fuel pressure flow drop off from 13.5 to 12V! Taking idle pressure of 51psi, means the pump will be drawing a MINIMUM of 9amps all the time based on your reading of the graph (3bar base, then allowing an extra 0.5bar for boost = roughly 51psi)
    • Hi all,  I am in the market for an R200 longnose diff out of a Z31 300ZX, or S12 RSX, DR30 skyline, or similar, in a 3.9 ratio.  Preferably a late model one with the M12 crownwheel bolts.  The only easy to find advert for one of these was my ad back in 2007 when I sold it on this forum.  I sold the diff as I had sold the car it goes to, but as it turns out, after 18 years I got the car back late last year, so now I'm looking for the diff !  If anyone knows where to find a longnose R200 LSD with the M12 crownwheel bolts, drop me a line at [email protected] - Bonus paid if soomeone comes up with the original diff (stranger things have happened !).  Cheers   Ben D
    • Hi everyone, I used to post here a bit from 2004-2013, when I owned various Nissans, in particular my S12 RSX gazelle, which was sold in 2007.  As luck would have it, after an 18 year hiatus, the car found its way back to me last year, and over the past 11 months I have had the pleasure of restoring it with my kids.  One thing that I am after in particular is a 3.9 ratio R200 LSD for it.  I actually sold the one out of the car here back in 2007 , and it would be incredible if I could track down who I sold it to, so I can see how they have progressed over the years (and to be honest, to see whether I can get the diff back !).  Anyways, hi all and let me know "where are the R200 Longnose diffs all at these days ?  Cheers Ben D
    • Arms will be the same as the G35 or 350Z, but as above, there was a change in the lower control arm where it connects to the ball joint.  That said, you can remove the ball joint cone from your old ball joints and fit them to the new ball joints.  To be honest, I didn't think the ball joints themselves were different. The main ball joint is a bit awkward to replace, you really need to remove the steering knuckle to press out the old one.  Some people have used tools to remove it in place, but it just seemed too hard to get to. If you are going to press out/in that ball joint, then you may as well just replace the bushings in the LCA and the compression rod.  You can buy the compression rod bushing from Nissan, but the LCA bushes, you will need to go aftermarket. Much cheaper than buying the whole arm.
    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
