***************r33 Stolen *************

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else noticed that this is the second car within the last few weeks to have been stolen AFTER the person has broken into the house while people were there and stolen the keys and then the car?? I thought it was bad enough they came down our driveway at 7am on a Saturday let alone come into the house!!

yeh :S

Ive taken to taking my keys everywhere with me, even if my family are home and ive left the car there, still take my keys with me. Have also started parking the rest of the cars BEHIND mine, since i live in this same suburb. Pain in the ass at 4:30 every morning to move all the cars to let me out, but hell of alot safer.

I've seen this car around, looks hot.

Its distinct so will keep an eye out.

Can't believe how many R33's are stolen these days. Makes me scared. Although mine secretly will take a little more effort to get going.

But still, they must be fair easy to break into and hot wire! Although having said that I've had all my ignition wiring out when I was screwing around with fuel pumps, and although its all black, it is easy to work out which wire is doing what. And with imobilisers under there too, its even easier to pin point the ignition wiring.

HI ALL

For anyone who has had their vehicle stolen recently and not yet recovered, please email me a clear photo (preferably side shot and or 3/4 front shot) with rego number, contact details and where & when it was stolen from.

We have agents conducting static surveillance on the road everyday throughout Adelaide so I can pass pics and regos onto them.

They'll either make contact with me or you immediately upon sighting. No guarantees but what have you got to lose.

Thanks for the reassuring words  but it was posted up as soon as possible after we had found out!!!

AGAIN THANKS IS IN ORDER TO EVERYONE FOR BEING SO HELPFUL!!!

Who better to get on the case than fellow car enthusiats that would want the same thing done if the shoe was on the other foot.

There's probably enough info on this thread but it may be easier to get pics and details briefly on an email that I can easily forward onto the other agents.

sorry to hear.

pretty gay how people are breaking into homes now, while people are home and people not noticing, they must be like ghosts and the fact they found the room with the keys. pretty daring.

Good luck in finding it.

no shit still no word yet if its been this long i think the pricks that stole it are stripping it maybe on its way to interstate hope your brother has some luck man and gets it one peace

Yeah, I can confirm I've seen it in Melbourne.

Not in Springvale though - more so in Noble Park... that back bar and side skirts... I swear I've seen it.

If I were you, I would contact the Victorian Police and give them your VIN number... they'll put it on their register... so if they randomly pull people over with a similiar description, they can do a check... don't worry, in Springvale/Noble Park area - cops pull Skylines over all the time, You should be able to find it quick... good luck...

It was driving pass Springvale road towards the lights leading to Noble Park station... the driver was an Asian guy in his late 20's - looked like a street-wise kinda dude... I remember, as he pulled up to me and wanted to drag me - the Mrs. and I joked about how he would have no chance so I remember quite clearly... hope your brother gets his car back mate... ring the cops asap!!

Update. I am hoping that it is just the case of someone with the same kit as someone spotted it hear in adelaide on the weekend.???? so am unsure of its whereabouts. Still would be great for eyes to keep a look out and if seen call the police and follow it to where ever they are hiding it. :domokun:

    • neither stumble or cut really seem to be an appropriate term....hard to explain its like a rev limiter but at 4k, but it violently shakes engine and entire vehicle as the rpms will not rise over 4k, even with slow acceleration. as soon as it hits 4k, it sounds like entire spark is lost entirely. plugs were 1.1 which I used as such, but later put in new plugs gapped down to .8 changed back after issue arose when I replaced the coils, still does it with either plug gap...damn and it was all running so good.
    • Oh how times have changed! I actually lean it out relative to my water/methanol injector duty cycle. The methanol adds a lot of fueling and you can then lean it out even more due to reduced knock.
    • Yeah my thoughts are the same, a well thought out WMI setup, would be slightly ahead of just straight E85 and you're also chemically intercooling the charged air, dropping it even further. This is why you need to add so much more fuel as soon as you spray. I remember someone taking me through their set up before (Dennis, has a R33, lives around Cabramatta - no idea if he's still around on this forum). He would target AFR 10:1 on 98, then as WMI ramped on, AFR would lean back up to 11:1. Amazingly, he did this all through his PowerFC, a relay to cut power to his EBC solenoid if there was not enough line pressure on his WMI kit. And of course, if there wasn't any boost made above gate pressure, you wouldn't be accessing the load cells with heaps of timing for WMI. One downside to that rudimentary setup, once the WMI came on, the EBC would unleash the dragon, and of course all the timing. Tyres would fry lol.
    • Shimmed or shimless, still solid, no hydraulic pump up stuff.
    • They have said food will be limited. Mainly meat pies and sausage rolls from memory. But they have a coffee van!
