WTF is wrong with people?

Last night we going down Alexandra pde entering the eastern freeway.

Some fcuktard in a bravo ute (or something like that) was carrying

1. a side table

2. a red MX5 hard top

Would you believe the hard top was leaning up against the table (unsecured), with the bit that fastens to the top of the windscreen poking up above the cab. Basically the back of the roof section was in the tray, front of the roof sticking up.

Low and behold, as he accelerated, and the wind increased, the roof became a sail, and flew back off the ute...

we were behind. Luckily we were far enough behind to see the whole fibreglass roof fly off, and skid along the freeway.

I swerved into the adjacent lane, knowing there wasn't anyone there, then HE SWERVED INTO THE SAME LANE AND PUT BRAKES ON!! WTF??? MORON!

He then decided it was a good idea to stop in the middle of the eastern freeway...

as I headed away from the carnage, I saw another car behind collect the roof...

thank god you or your car isnt damaged.

plenty of d!cks on the roads, like yesterday when my old lady almost got ran off the road by some d!ck in a 4wd. Cut into our lane because the person in front of him was doing a right turn, and we had to brake HARD to miss a collision. And to top it all off, the f*(ker started waving as if it was funny.

It's people like that, who deserve to crash.

Sounds like fun, lucky your alright.

I was driving behind a rather large truck witha big tray a couple of weeks ago that was full of steel. Behold a piece of box steel that was roughly 4 - 5 metres long, a good 20mm thick serious piece of steel, that was just balancing on top of random bits of steel sticking about half a metre above the tray top.

I decided to overtake him rather than be squashed and killed by flying steel :whistling:

lol

my cousin was bringing me a single bed for the kids room and thought cause of the weight (the base was on top) and the fact it was a high sided trailor he didnt have to tie it down... coming down stud road he was doing about 70 and WOOSH! away it went... lol went about 30ft in the air and came down on a XR8 bonnet... almost completely f**ked the bed thanks to that idiots car getting in the way :D

Trailor Hire - $50

Bed - $Free

Not tying down the load on the back of the trailor when driving down a main road at 70kmh - $580

:)

jesus i saw the same car but with less matresses! haha when i drive my truck/van or ute i get extremely paranoid when i load it up, i use ratchet straps all over the joint, id rather waste more time strapping it down then driving along and something goes flying i see it happens very often

Yeah im the same, drive a 4.5T Isuzu Pantech with barn doors that are have a padlock and I use 2 ratchet straps inside just to hold the freight still (anything up to 300 boxes a day and a few pallets).

On monday I seen 2 flatbed trucks within 2km blocking traffic due to losing their loads, couldn't think of anything more embarressing.

    • Started sifting thru my brakes to decide which ones I will run on Clem   Made me think I should just put them all on Silver...for when brake fade just isn't an option   Should be able to bump rotor up from 343x32 to 348x36 off Supra. Not sure if the Supra annulus is right for the Alcons or APs but trying g to find a used Supra\M4 rotor to test fit The Alcons seem to gain 1-2mm clearance which all helps
    • So car is getting a few mods to the cage and some jacking points welded in Meantime Ol Silver gets a new gearbox and shiny clutch.  Old Box is being set aside for Clem
    • Probably speedometer itself if the odometer is ticking. If the needle is stuck from a bit of grease or something that can cause it to stay at 0. Or a cracked solder joint in the speedometer can do it too.
    • Thanks Fella’s   to take this off topic and to elaborate a bit more. I have an rb25/30 going into a r32 GTST.. expected to make around 600-700hp. Would you?   A) R34 GTT box   B) CD00#?  I’ve seen a few posts about the CD swap and sounds fairly involved with making it fit etc but if it’s worth the work then I’ll go that way
