Turbo Oil Line Restrictor

All,

My r34 gtt project is making great progress.... 2 years in making/ parts gathering... Anyhow i have the HKS 3037 proS going in and getting ready... with regards to the new oil line I was told I need a 40 thou or was it 20 thou restrictor in the line cos new turbo isnt as thirsty for oil like the old banger. Any info and advice welcomed !~!

have u contacted the people u bought the turbo from?? If u havent ask for a turbo kits i know gcg did one for my garrett 3037 turbo

i have a gt30r on my rb30det which is very similler to your turbo.. garrett recomends that if your engine runs anymore than 60psi at maximum you need to put another restrictor in the line... i think the happy pressure is around 40 psi .. your turbo comes standard with a restrictor in the shaft but i just used the standard restrictor in the stock oil line.. it depends what oil lines you are going to be using for your turbo... but there has been many people that have not worried about restrictors, and they have run fine.. if your bearings start leaking you know u need a restrictor... lol.
