How Do I Get Exhaust Flames?

I had the popping sound ever since i put the exhaust system on, didn't think much of it. Later i had it boosted & fmic let my gf drive it at night one time and we were on a road with no lights so it was pitch black, all of a sudden i saw these flashes in the mirrors. At first i thought shit its the cops, then i saw one big ass flame come out. I got full stressed i didn't know what it meant, later to ask a skyline guru who told me its normal and not to worry.

i drive a very stock NA skyline .. just running with a different exhaust tip and i get popping sounds sometimes. just wondering if its

suppose to do that or is there something wrong with my car and its not burning fuel properly ??

haha i had my muffler off at the rear flange so my exhaust was straight through an exited just next to the diff, now when that popped with passengers in the back they complained bout it feelin like a bombs just gone off haha it feels like the floor pan is bout to explode under my feet an thats in the drivers seat, but yeah just decat it

My new avatar is a good example of how big the flames are getting on my car now. It's running very rich. Off to get a tune soon, hopefully it wont stop the flames completely!

Just curious, would a power fc's rev limiter function do? As it does cut ignition and doesn't cut fuel...
