Gibbson Motorsport Rs 581 Le Mans Turbos

I have just got a mint set of Gibbson motorsport rs 581 le mans turbos they are like new.These are supposed to be a very quick spool up as well as plenty of mid and top.I see in the rb26 turbo upgrade section there is one guy who has used them.Has anyone else used these and how do they compare to todays turbos,being that we are talking that they are quite a few years old and bush bearing.Any info is much appreciated.

I had some RS581's or group A turbo's on my old Aussie R32 GTR. with a set of 260 cams and the usual supporting mods you can get alot of power out of them, over 500hp at the tyres would not be out of the question.

This is a very de-tuned setup as the motor I was running was very very old. During the tune we had the power heading to 400rwhp at well under 6,000rpm at the same boost with a more agressive timing and fuel setup. We lopped the head of the power curve for reliabillity.

Thanks for the reply,thats not bad on 13psi.If i throw them on,they will be on a new built motor with all supporting mods and 18-20 psi.
