denham, the last 5 commenst ive read from u in diff threads of all been stupid, hehe :P

their denham is dead acurate cos it updates temp, barometric pressure etc etc every 1/10th of a sec, and it got over 300 easy, from 4 1/2 k revs all the way up....

go down and scale it 4 yaself...your 185 would b 150 at best on a "real dyno"

other dynos never change the settings and always have it a little higher.....

ps nice comment about the v8 in the same comp u noob :) haha

but if it pulled 400 at an official show.....showoff...then :D

u would be fully sick if u built the car from scratch but u didnt so :shake:

in your previous posts u said u r running it at half boost 0.9 bar which i assumed full boost being close to 2 bar, hence..

:P to leewah

u just gota enter ya car in mas man...then u just say "hey, i want a go on the dyno" and if some1 beats ya reading and theres time theyd prob let u go again...runs sat and sun i believe

inasnt: when youve speent the next 10k on ya car and r still twice as slow..il look in my wallet and laugh (and i know u larv hks...i hve their internals already also :) ) hehe

i am happy for u man, just be careful, just coz its hks doesent mean its bulletproof! U better run a 10 at calder next time atleast

now back to leewahs question :P

i heard they r not goin this year...but gotta look out for bresciani these days aswell...they have some mega powerful cars down there

cheers inasnt, appreciate it....i try to b v careful (take a hile 4 me to get it into 10s)

whens your car gonna b done?

i hope u get it ready in time leewah...hows it lookin at the mo?

u got all the stuff already though ey?

yeyh traction is the MAJOR problem...the car ha mega suspension work...just need 20 inch slicks like try 9's had

car breaks traction BIGTIME as soon as like 2-3psi get in there....

i am def tryin to get it there soon, but will take a lot of learnin in the driver seat for me aswell....its a big jump

i hope your car is in leewah..i wanna hear it scream....

I too wanna hear my car scream again.

I'm waiting for a head gasket from Sydney and then the engine should be together by tomorrow night, in the car on Wed and then tuned Thurs (fingers crossed nothing breaks).

Cleaning on Friday and then onto MAS!!!!

Chances of me being there, 100%, with the car, 80%.

my car is kinda fast... ???

:) 250 aint much compared to what else will be there...

BUT at least it's got no rice or crazy paint jobs.

But most of the cars in the SAU stand are going on the Dyno.

So come alone mate.

My car will be there as long as I can find out where my brakes, head gasket and harmonic balancer are.

I know they're in Melb somewhere, possibly on delivery trucks but noone seems to know where in this ****ing city my parts are.

I HATE CARS AND COURIERS AND ANYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH THEM!!!

    • Price seems pretty good to me. Also seems a hell of a lot cheaper then buying another vehicle that only ever gets used for towing.  I'm a long way from you mate, I'm a couple of hours out of Brizzy.
    • New [400]Z, they're available in manual and you don't have to worry about parts scarcity.

    • The sodium acetate, mixed with citric acid, doesn't actually buffer each other. Interestingly though, if you used Sodium Acetate, and acetic acid, THAT becomes a buffer solution. Additionally, a weak acid that can attack a metal, is still a weak acid that can attack a metal. If you don't neutralise it, and wash it off, it's going to be able to keep attacking. It works the same way when battery acid dries, get that stuff somewhere, and then it gets wet, and off it goes again breaking things down. There's a reason why people prefer a weak acid, and it's because they want TIME to be able to be on their side. IE, DIY guys are happy to leave some mild steel in vinegar for 24 hours to get mill scale off. However, if you want to do it chemically in industry, you grab the muriatic acid. If you want to do it quicker at home, go for the acetic acid if you don't want muriatic around. At the end of the day, look at the above thumbnail, as it proves what I said in the earlier post, you can clean that fuel tank up all you want with the solution, but the rust that has now been removed was once the metal of the fuel tank. So how thin in spots is your fuel tank getting? If the magazine on the left, is the actual same magazine as on the right, you'll notice it even introduces more holes... Well, rust removal in general actually does that. The fuel tank isn't very thick. So, I'll state again, look to replace the tank, replace the fuel hanger, and pump, work out how the rust and shit is making it past the fuel filter, and getting into the injectors. That is the real problem. If the fuel filter were doing its job, the injectors wouldn't be blocked.
    • Despite having minimal clothing because of the hot weather right now, I did have rubber gloves and safety glasses on just in-case for most of the time. Yes, I was scrubbing with my gloves on before, but brushing with a brush removes the remaining rust. To neutralize, I was thinking distilled water and baking soda, or do you think that would be overkill?
