180hp = 134kw

stock = 160kw at the engine which is 214.4 HP which is 215PS (which the japs use)

THESE FIGURES ARE AT THE ENGINE.

As Roy said, stock R32 gtst makes about 110kw at the wheels.

now.. your figure of 134rwkw with 14psi, exhaust and fmic is on the low side.

However, I'd say that if you got a re-chip for your ecu for about $350 or so, it will make the usual 150-160rwkw.

as a rough guide, I had the same mods as you but using a turbo from RB25 and only 11 psi and NO re-chip, I made 154rwkw.

I'd say that as per usual nissan, all the extra boost you are shoving in it is making it run Paris Hilton style Rich.

a re-chip with fuel removed and timing added will give you great results.

Search for rechip on the forums to see who on here can help you out.

there are a couple of people.

kool thanks for the feedback every1 i diddnt think any1 would reply cause its not a skyline n no1 would car...

GTST- ill save my pennies a bit longer and save a apexi power fc i been told there good, are they better then that chip ur talking about......

I did have a blocked catalatic conventer when the dyno run was done would have that cost me power.. since the dyno run ive had the stock blocked cat replaced with a stainless steel hi flow cat and also had all the resinators and mufflers removed so now its a straight threw 3 inch with only a hi flow cat... it sounds awsome on the drag raceing like i got above...

thanks for the feed back every1 :D

The R32 GTST's are every day road cars which run a 4.3:1 diff ratio.

They can get away with a low diff ratio as they rev to 7k. The VL's run with a higher ratio because they only rev to 5.5 6k max unless heavily modified + have a hell of a lot more torque so get the car moving a lot quicker and spool the turbo much quicker.

For example. My old RB20det with its 4.3 diff gears would return mid 10 to 11litres per 100km's. At 100km/h it would sit at ~2850rpm.

In short small capacity motors that rev high NEED low diff ratio's.

If its a everyday car for toodling around the local streets a 4.3:1 is simply awesome. If you live out in the sticks always on 100km/h roads I'd consider a 3.7.

damm, 4.3.1 is pretty low, also theres gbox ratios to take into consideration, i can do 160ks in 3rd..... i mite look at getting the ecu next then maybe a rb25 turbo n then if its still slugish the diff ratios swapped... another thing i forgot to mention i took off the power steering pump n pulley n the airconditoning would that muck up the tune

does any1 have 1/4 stats for r32s????????? standard 1s

From memory the r32 pulls ~55km/h out of first at 7k; 100km/h out of second and 145km/h out of third.

Standard R32 gtst's run around 14.6-14.9 with 110-120rwkw.

There was one bloke who some how managed to crack a 14.2 years ago with a 100% stocker and good tyres. Probably cheating some how. :(

With ecu, exhaust and around 160-170rwkw they do high 13's to flat/low 14's depending on driver and suspension setup.

The VL exec weighs the same as the R32 GTST so I don't see why it wouldn't pull the same sort of numbers.

Try to skip the rb25 turbo and run some sort of highflow that you can push a solid 18pound in to it through the mid range. This pulls up the mid range and gets the car moving quickly which will most definitely help with the tall gearing.

The rb25det rb20's I've been in all tend to lack a real meaty solid punching mid range; they wind out and have nice top end though.

true, im still runnin the vl 5spd box n id say my ratios are quite a bit longer..... im not after a superfast car so im not gonna go for t04e or any turbo like that...

im really frusterated at the moment after spendin 5 grand on gettin the motor happin to do a 15.7,,,, head aches lol................ so wat should i do first???????????? i dont have tons of money so i can only do 1 thing at time thanxs scott

did any1 watch the drag video, do u think it sounds good???

First would be get a rb20 box if they are different and get the diff sorted

For the turbo a high-flowed rb20 or rb25 turbo would be good, let you run lots of boost and without big lag, just find a blown one on here and take it to get high flowed. An SAFC and tune would also help in the short-term if you can't afford the turbo.

quick question..

Ive got a pod filter on my car its of the cone shapped 1s that are always on commodores, but most sklyines i see have the mushroom shapped 1s are they better for the rb engines and do they still make the sucking noise, mine makes a really loud sucking noise everytime i accelerate n i dun like it i think its annoying id rather here the turbo spool

inclose it or use a standard airbox. should reduce that noise.

SAFC = Super Air & Fuel Controller it controls your mixture of air and fuel at a fair few points in the rev range.if your on a budget grab 1 of these.

my personal experience showed that 14psi was useless over 12psi just made 1st gear more prone to hitting the limiter and my tuner said NO NO.

i dont know much about the ratio stuff but mine seems perfect(auto r32gtst) only uses 3 gears over 400m last time i went and didnt have to use 4th.

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
