hitman did a friend of mine for 12psi. said he could get away with 14psi but its not recommended. he had supporting mods such as turbo back exhaust, apexi pfc, hks ebc, fmic and pod. he hit round 220rwkw

im running 10psi on mine atm but dynoed before mods and got 180rwkw. that was only with cat back exhaust.

rb20det

ported and polished head

fmic

walbro 255l/hr

haltech e6x

rb25 turbo

3" downpipe + exhaust

pod filter

made 320hp @ the engine with 95 octane fuel & 1 bar of boost.. should be about 230-240 @ the wheel..

Thought I'd post up my old RB20 results for all to see :)

Car consisted of:

- internally standard RB20DET (silvertop)

- s1 RB25 turbo

- china fmic + piping

- Xforce split dump pipe

- 3" front pipe

- 3" decat pipe

- 2.75" cat back into canon

- 044 pump mounted intank

- generic metal pod filter

- Greddy Profec B spec2 (haven't spent much time smoothing out the boost curve)

This was untuned running 12psi (ignore the red line, that was when we tried to run 14psi, it made ~260rwhp but started to ping up high)

Nissan Skyline 1989 R32

120000klms

190rwkw

254.4rwhp @ 13.5psi

standard injectors

R33 turbo

3inch straight through with split dump

GTR fuel pump

Fuel reg.

FMIC

Dr Drift computer

no BOV

K&N pod filter

These should give you a rough idea.

What sorta turbo is it?? like series.. t03-t04 for example.. sorry for the noob question

the turbos have no 'model' or 'series' as such.

rb20 turbo would be closer to a T25, and the R33/R34 turbo would be closer to a T28. both using T3 flanges.

    • For race cars, this is one part where I find having the roll cage bar having gone through a hole in the floor better than the build it up on a ledge inside... The Merc I help on, the main hoop ends are marked on the car, and the jack is marked... Jack goes under a few inches and lifts one whole side of the car up... Removes that fight for long slim jacks for race car duties!   My biggest issue for the daily drivers I work on, is my jacks don't go high enough. The jacks start out on a few blocks, jack it up, then start a second jack under it on more blocks, and then I can get an axle stand under it. My axle stands are presently in use, and are nearly fully extended. The car is sitting with barely more than a cm of clearance to get the wheel off the studs! Sarah's Kluger is the same, as it has an ungodly amount of droop available in the suspension and a distinct lack of good jacking points!
    • Happy? Yep, my to do list is getting shorter and shorter. Either this light approaching is the end of the tunnel, or I'm about to be hit by a train... Ha ha ha   Also, Duncan isn't that far out of town that you need to make a multi day drive out of it. 😛
    • Sorry I meant that we are building the EH for a client.

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
