You’re trying to prove to me that a product doesn’t work? Yet it’s not even the same product I have had, nor the same product I am after.

Once again, the plates I had looked like this from any angle other then straight on <[[]]][[[]]][[]> Not the ones I have used in the photo I posted.

They didn’t use any spray or any reflective stick on media.

Stop posting crap regarding products I’m not after, why not just stop posting in here?

Terry, I’ll let know how I go with the plate covers. Someone will have some sets laying around.

If the police/qld transport pull you over to check for defects etc one of the things they will look for is number plate visibility at 45 degrees... i got done in my 180sx because the factory rear bar partially obscured the number plate... they weren't too bad about it to me ($60 fine), but i imagine if they pulled you over and looked at those number plate covers they wouldn't take too kindly to them....

I had the exact same thing in my S13 silvia last year... you got off lightly .... the cops searched my car for 45mins and didnt find anything then as i was pulling away they flagged me down again....

They then took a photo of the back of my car as evidence ... i had to fix the problem wthin 24 hours.... i also lost 2 points and 250 bucks.... all because my number plate was obscured by the rear bar and because the corner was bent to make it fit .... RUBBISH!!!

Queensland Transport told me the only "legal" way to fix the problem was to buy personised plates!!!!

That was the most expensive day of my life and i had nothing to show for it!!!! >_<>_<

I had the same thing happen to me but i didnt get fined in my old 180sx,i had to cut about 4mm off each side of the number plate to make it fit because i didnt like the look of the number plate being bent The cop tried to tell me the number plate sat to far in and i would have to pack it out so it was more legiable and that we arent allowed to cut/trim the number plate to fit at all. I argued the point that the car has been complied to suit australian conditions with the number plate holder and that factory rear bar so i aint doing shit.I was lucky he let me off but he urged me to spend the money and get smaller personalised plates.. Pfft they should supply smaller plates to suit i say....

all the import dealers just bend the plates.

Seriously wtf is this thread still doing here ? Fair enough people get pissed off when they get a defect or speed ticket and want to find ways of getting around it but broadcasting this shit on a club forum in public section ? " How to speed with out being detected " Come on guys !' No wonder Skyline drivers get the attention they do !

Josh, you mean like a hologram type set up??? Where its like little triangles?

Sorta, like a defect laid in during the plastic injection process.

stfu and piss off, once again ur running ur big mouth with untrue opinions :D

How long do you reckon it took him to work out it wasn't a real web site?

Why are people so unkind? :P

I really think if they pull Josh over the number plate covers are the last thing they are going to be looking at.

My reputation precedes me :woot:

I personally wouldn’t worry about who thinks what, the police who read the forums are already well aware of me, what I post and what I currently drive.

I’d go as far to say, skyline owners get a bad rap from P platers tool's pulling skids at maccas, not so much “Nismo_Boy” antagonizing the police more on forums as they can’t catch him..

i bet he'll be still stuck even after he reads ur post :woot:

lol... i spose we could all do what a relative of mine does... he has an old shitty toyota camry... his solution... (according to his mates) put alfoil behind the plate and leave about 3-5mm round the outer edges of the plate...

yeh... im sure that works... :ninja:

    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
    • Funny, but really not funny. Thank god (most) f the world has moved on since then
    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile
    • On the bright side, the weather will turn much nicer for working outside shortly....sounds like you might need to start on a neighbour's garden next
    • Ok so i will NEED to have this sensor anyway even with Nistune (or standalone ECU) https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-boost-pressure-sensor-evap-control-system-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-nm35-stagea-pnt30-x-trail-rb25det-vq25det-sr20vet?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOoqfxX48bW9bEwH62orcNhtBfp7ekAL0C9Ca89ySFGUiBzXfXeze Is this the correct one? And this is only thing i need? No other "things" connected to the sensor or something? I do have the wiring.
