When measuring arms, do we measure tensed or untensed?

straight arm unflexed (don't know if that's right or not, just how I did it for my suit measurements lol)

Doing my head in having a look at these online supplement places 0_0

From what I can tell all I need is a decent WPI and maybe some Creatine Monohydrate (Assuming one of those has enough BCAAs in it) Is there a product that combines both or am I going to have to buy two products?

As mentioned this is more for a post workout recovery supp, though I could potentially use it in lower doses in the off days if necessary.

Protein, Creatine + BCAA's - the branched chain amino acids really aid recovery, or so Ive found.

Id suggest buying all 3 as seperate products, and mix into a pre&post workout shake. www.mrsupplement.com has some specials going at the moment.

Today was 1st session of Split routine. Completed the exercises right on the hour mark, so that bodes well for when Uni starts to aid in getting in/out, refresh & train ride into city for morning classes... pity I cant sort out a timetable as yet, grrrr.

Having a look now, any particular brands to keep an eye on or stay clear of?

Thoughts on this? I had a look through the Blended proteins and most of them have WPI and aminos but this one had creatine monohydrate also

Though I can't work out the serving side, says 76g per serve but says 59 serves per pack and pack is 2.3kg those numbers don't add up?

Or is it the scoop is approx 38g so there are 59 scoops in the tub but 2 scoops are required for one "serve"

The cost per serve seems a bit high compared to many others, but it also has the creatine monohydrate in it as mentioned.

Website shows one rounded scoop = one serve, so in the 2.3kg tub there's almost 60 serves.

Oddly though the website breakdown doesn't show the creatine component like Mr Supplement website does.

So how the hell am I supposed to know what's in it :D

I do all the time! IMO I think a lot of people need to work on their diet (and just eat more in general) before turning to supplements. I use a whey protein occasionally because its convenient but I know I still have a lot of size and strength to be gained without the assistance of supplements. I'll save creatine and the like till after I plateau.

Ghosty on here is a good example, the guy is strong fk for his weight, and is only just now turning to supplements to gain that extra edge.

You'll recall Kez that I was where you were a long time ago, started out at 65kg so I'm pretty comfortable with what I do and don't need supplements for.

If you have the time to eat a steak after a workout, that's awesome. I don't and one scoop of X and some milk is much faster for me, plus I can get a few extra goodies specifically for recovery rather than just the protein a steak would give me - and yes I realise you're using steak as an example only.

The $$ is worth the convenience and the extra assistance in terms of recovery for someone with my secondary muscle group injury history.

That said, I'm finding you guys surprisingly quiet on this topic - Or is this the one part of working out that everyone still keeps secret squirrel?

lol yep sure am but I think you'll just have to accept that we have differing opinions on this.

You're happy for your supp to be a steak, I'd rather something specifically targeted to assist in the areas I'm focused on.

Blended products usually don't name the grams or ratios of included ingredients, be good if they did. You can bet on the WPI and hydrolysed protein content being some 'dust' sprinkled into the container ha ha....

If you want to save some money and leave the ingredients pure with no fillers than this joint is good.

www.professionalwhey.com.au

At least you can control what you are mixing up. Bulk prices are good. Sources of the product named and you can buy ingredients pure. Delivery and service excellent.

WPC , micelar casein, Creatine and beta-alanine are the supps I would recommend for best value. But, they sell lots of other supps.

I reckon broken is the way to go for bragging rights.

Get the fracture right and the swelling will get you 21 inch guns in no time !

Refuse to get them in plaster so you can show them off at the beach. With a generous amount of fake tan and a pack of oxycodone you can wow them all.

Or become a huge fatty and end up so that no one can tell where your torso ends and the arms begin.

30 inch blubber guns FTW !

But the stats for chest and legs will be killer too as well !

Having a look at that site, the WPI seems well priced.

As for the Dymatize I linked earlier, it lists the contents down the side of the page but only states "Protein" and does not specify any further than that.

That said, I have not been able to confirm the contents as neither Dymatize nor MrSupps will reply to an email about the discrepancies in the nutritional info.

    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
