let Stinky in he is a top bloke and one of the nicest stagea owners ive met (well ex stagea owner now)

Mitchy is also a good mate and definately should be welcome, he attends all the stagea cruises and gives fellow stagea owners free power steering brackets haha :)

Its not like these 2 people are random sau users who jumped on the stagea section when they heard the AHG track day was being organised.

im sure i could get a few variety of cars to come down also if u need any more so its not a stagea/skyline fest lol :laughing-smiley-014:

Guys do you really want a guy known as "Stinky Rooster" hanging around us? :P

*sigh* Your in Dale!!!! Get that DOOF DOOF music ready :P

Wooo Hooooooooo! :/

payment will be sent today!!

*prepares to unleash Pulsar Fury!*

w00t I hef been upgraded to Standby status! heh cheers Brad :P

Dale, you suck. What's with the Pulsar?!

hey hey, don't be a hater now Lyle :/

nuthin wrong with teh pulsar - it might even embarrass a few "boat" owners!

good to see we got that all sorted ! make love not war etc etc ..

I must admit I am a bit disappointed that more Stagea drivers couldnt make it .. as it would have been really interesting to see how the different setups handled. Ie - Jippa has coil overs so he SHOULD out perform the rest.. bit fingers crossed that we might have a few additions to the car by then !

oh and PAYMENT MADE !!!

she cant chicken out now!

I am still keen to do this, BUT.... I am still not sure what form of event this even is.....

It seems clear that we aren't going to use the track. It also seems clear that we aren't going to utilise the skidpan as a skid pan.

So what are we going to use it for?

I would like to get an idea of what we will be covering.... defensive driving, performance driving, skids how to get out of them, braking etc etc.

Is part of the day in the classroom, if so how long?

This is what I meant earlier by an agenda.

I would like to be able to get more info so that I can make an informed decision of whether it is going to be of value.

I asked in my last post for payment details to be PM'd to me..... didn't arive.

Thanks

I got the payment details if you need them ( ie can PM them to you )

and I can tell you a bit about this as I have done one before

but R dirty 3 would probably be far more capable of explaining it in a better manner

I have attached the official flyer for the event. It has all the infomation about the event. It is outdated a bit in the pricing, this event is now $1070 to run. (just letting you all know so there is not confusions etc.)

Yes there is a class type briefing. When we get there all drivers will be taken to a room and briefed on what is expected, what they will teach you etc etc. Takes ten minutes.

Appealing, it is completely upto you if you want to be a part of this event or not. I have not sent you payment details, because you have not PM'd me to say you want to join in on this event. I only give the details to those who are confirmed entrants. I feel it may be best if you do not enter this event, but come out and have a look at how the event runs/operates etc. I have a feeling that you may get upset if it is not what you wanted and i understand that completely, you should be as fully informed as you can be that this is the sort of training you want/need. I also suspect that the level of training you want, you may be better signing up for the next "noLimitEvents" 1 on 1 driver training. (4-5 hours of 1 on 1 training with your own personal instructor at Wanneroo in your own car), or even Trackskill commodore training? Now, while these are fantastic ways to learn to drive correctly, you will pay at least $650+.

Just my thoughts. If i can help any further, let me know.

Cheers

Brad

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
