It's fugly. Seen it up close a couple of times. Body kit is full of cracks, and that gold highlight just grates on my nerves.

cant be to bad it was in a car show aye. or mabe it was along time ago.

makes you wonder why you would advertise a car then piss off overseas.

i think buying any skyline or turbo car is trouble buying it off a young fella .

yeh i no the car dvl33 the guy who owns it apparently owns ceasers night club so i could understand it being that price and besides its that price cuz its way to unique no1 wants it

rice ftl :thmbsdwn

where is ceasers nightclub? might ring there and suss it out .

Sounds like a scam... "i am overseas at the moment and can only be contacted via email"....... suss as shit....

a mate of mine who owns an original cooper s mini (old not new) found his car for sale on an o/s site. They had just used pics that he had posted up on the mini site that he is involved with and also from a few different car shows :(

needless to say, he had no idea that his own car was for sale :D

Check out the pics of it by the roadside... if Mad Max drove a skyline, itd be that one.

Would be a cool car to buy if you know someone who could throw some new paint onto it. Look like shite

to my knowledge - it's a legit sale.. sort of..

when he originally posted the car for sale - i gave him a call - he had $23.5k on it.. he said that the price included him fixing the defects that the car and that he'd sell registered (with his own guy doing the safety certificate) - or drop to $18k drive away as is..

too much trouble and just not worth it.. so i obviously passed..

then a price drop to $14k - almost 10 down? I contacted him again to ask about it further.. why the sudden drop? he said that he needed to get rid of it.. the car was in same condition - and i could take it today if i wanted it.. i asked about getting it checked by a mechanic of my choosing - he said that he was overseas so that couldn't be done - nor could i take it for a test drive.. but - of course.. i could buy it if i wanted it without those checks..

not interested..

so be aware - he dropped $10k from the price in a week.. it might not be a scam as such - but careful does it..

seen it a few times Jetspeed did the kit a few yrs back he doesnt own ceasers used to work for them.. its a worry to see that car in flash...

see that car in flash?whats that mean..............anyway i think you guys have convinced me to keep my beema .later. :D

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
