I have 3 baby magpies that love to fly between a window of a shop and the drivers window of my car. When its wet i end up with 5000x footprints all over the roof and down my back window.

I got the local cop station to take some samples of the foot prints but they are yet to get back to me on which magpie it is. :bahaha:

dont get a car cover. i had one and it didnt stop the cats. all it did was make them slip all over ther place when they jumped off and scratched the car 10 times worse. I like your idea Turbo Tits, dog on bonnet, or I have a semi-automatic 12gauge shot gun you can borrow. :)

Pepper works a treat (the really powdery sort) but leaves dust on your car.

Don't put anything slippery on there... a friend of mine has a Boxster S and saw a cat sitting on his bonnet, yelled at it and it freaked, jumped up to ran away and slipped all over the place while it was trying to run away and scratched the shit out of his bonnet.

I have had this problem myself, several things you can do.

If its only one cat, get rid of it..........................

If you are a cat lover, do not read my previous sentence. Get a cat of your own. A big mean nasty tom cat. It will be boss cat, and keep other cats away. Give your cat a nice warm place to sleep, and it will not show any interest in your car at all.

A really bright light shining down on your car will discourage cats from sleeping there. It shines in their eyes, and they cannot lay on your nice warm bonnet and look around.

p.s Looks like the cats have been getting a little kinky on your bonnet rrroooowwwwr purrr purrr

if i saw a gang of cats having orgies on my bonnet id run for the hose. maybe wait in the bushes and when the time is right give them a good squirting with the hose, a couple goes of this should work nicely. They will associate them jumping on your car with being squirted and hopefully wont do it anymore. :D

just get a car cover...once some cat or some shit got on my bonnet might of jumped off a tree and set off the alarm...i ran outside ready to pound someone...looked around the car nothin weird then i checked the bonnect 3 10cm lines in differerent areas on the bonnet.. Oh well...now i park it only in the garage.

Just buy a dog... Few years ago, when I don't have dog, always have some cats go in my garden, even go into my house when I open the door. Since I have dog, no cat at all.... :)

Isnt a dog on your car worse than a cat on your car?

We had a cat problem on our cars a couple of years ago, and they crapped in the garden aswell. I don't agree with the way my dad did it but it was affective, we never had the problem again. (have dog, but it is chained up at nights so it doesn't run away)

Take 1 Bowl & fill with fresh milk.

Take 6 Panadol and crush into a fine powder.

Combine the powder with the milk and stir.

leave in desired location and wash bol clean in morning.

Never saw the cat(s) again....

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
