60 gig ones plays ps2 games and the 40 gig doesnt. also 60 gig has a SD card slot and a hard drive slot.

all the features mentioned above and also the 60gb looks better than the 40gb...its got a chrome finish instead of a silver finish...

You can install your own 2.5' laptop HDD of whatever size you like into the PS3, it auto loads its software and whamo... whatever GB size you wish.

i find it funny. If you want a ps3 get the 40gig for 600 bucks or so, then buy a ps2 for like 200 bucks. I got the 40gig ps3, i bought a ps3 to play ps3 games, not to play old ass games. Also the 40gig one has a hdd slot so you can upgrade it to a 250gig drive. No big deal
