mine is sorta resting on the bottom of the tank which makes it louder, when the fuel gets hot on a hot day you can really hear it outside the car, buzzing its ass off. it'll be fine mate. FWIW the walbro pumps are quieter but who cares when you got a decent exhaust anyway

it is pretty loud, but not unbearable.

yea they are supposedly rated to 400hp. they are only loud when priming, and i can only just hear it on idle when i blip the throttle when the stereo is off.

but overall it gives great bang for buck.

5/5

but 3/5 for its power capability

Ive had issues with mine, and am taking it back to the workshop to try a different pump as i have had starting issues ever since installing the 040. it holds fuel pressure fine though and has no trouble holding sub 12 afr's on full boost, but starting the car sometimes sucks!

If i can only 'just' hear it at idle i can live with that. Anything more though and i'd probably get pissd.

Hey! I hope i don't get starting issues. My mate has one and recommends it, never had starting issues. Did you install it yourself and stuff it up? Hehe

I got one for my R32 GTR, but swapped it and another $200 for a sard. The 040 didnt fit into the nicely engineered cradle, so i would have lost fuel pickup depth and sound/vibration isolation if i had used it. The car already surges on 1/4 tank at the track... For GTS-T YMMV.

Bought it today from CRD. Will be fitting it over the weekend. I'll post comments if anything interesting happens.

I agree with you, the gtst will never surge like a GTR so i think it should be fine. Plus my car won't see the track that much.

The nismo 275lph pump comes with its own cradle and touches the very bottom of the tank.

It shits all over any bosch.

Oh, and its quiet - I can't hear it at all.

You're right but for half the price i think it's a good compromise.

na didn't install myself had it done professionally by a workshop then checked by another workshop as i was sceptical of the install and they have said it was installed fine

Ok dude, you're a mix between paranoid and OCD. :P

Nismo bolt ins, are for gurls  lol

For the cost of em, you'd want them to be quiet (undoubtedly they use a fuel resistant insulation, like factory)

Lol. I'll agree with that one, only cause it makes me look tougher ;)

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
    • Probably gonna remove manifold and turbo. I’m not sure if I can get M12 x 1.5 air tight. Could use high temp Loctite 246 or something similar, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s just best to remove everything again and weld an 1/8NPT on there instead.
    • Yeah, saw the ratios, not impressed. Would like the punch I have in the first gears now. With those ratios it won't be the same.  Also want the h pattern gearing, or at least a quiet gear set that don't need to come apart for service each year. Looks like the only "reasonable" way Is a 8hp70 transmission, but where is the fun in that🤷‍♂️
    • Hey mate, really appreciate the help. Have been looking pretty extensively myself and was certain they were retro fitted, but then ended up finding a 4 door with what looks like the same side skirts or at least the closest I’ve seen.
