no not overpriced at all if u have seen several other posts in this very forum there is a guy that is selling plates for prices ranging from $1000 - $10000 depending on how lond u have had the plate and the condition of the plate itself u very well may have paid that much to keep the plate registered in ur name and on ur car with the annual fees that go onto it every year the ongoing cost of having these plates escalates therefore the resale value also goes up if the plates are in good nick
