Comments:

The aim was to buy a clean example of a GTR, one that wasn't toyed with, keep it clean and enjoy it the way it was built. I was lucky to find one with a full service history. I have now owned the car for approx. 15 months and regardless it may have needed repairs to be carried out, it has been a dream to own.

If you have any questions please call me and if I don't answer please leave a message. Calls between 5pm and 11pm will be most certainly answered.

Swaps, Reason for selling:

I have been interested in racing for the last couple of years and it's time I got into it. I can't gut the GTR to race after all I have been through with it so I'd prefer to sell it to someone who is going to appreciate it.

Swaps for the following cars only, will be considered. Please don't offer anything else. Can be dead stock or race / drift ready.

180sx / Silvia / Onevia / Sileighty <<<<< These cars are highly recommended.

Sprinter '86'

S14

Cefiro

Rx7 Series 4ish

SOME SORT OF UTE IE: HILUX, RODEO. You get the picture.

If I think of any others I'll edit the post. Certain cars offered will require a cash adjustment (goes without saying).

Images:

The following pics are of the car as it sits now. I have pics of the car car before compliance, before paint, whilst being painted and more of them after paint.

i can highly vouch for this car as being immaculate inside and out. very fussy owner like myself who takes care of the car and instantly grows grey hairs when coming across a new noise or problem. the car has always been maintained with quality items and has never come across any major problems. would have to say even though this car is all the way back from '89, she's alot cleaner, smoother and respectable than alot of other GTR's on the road. shocked to see a car come with service history from 3,000KM! he looked a long while for the right GTR, which was this. i can easily say that the first determined buyer will find this car hard to walk away from.

will be very sad to see this go, no more car wash partner! :( haha.

good luck with the sale, and all the best with the new car you decide to get.

cheers,

dave :(

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
