bought a hks cast manifold last night and it came with this turbo

unsure of specs but I have found the info below

Im thinking it looks 2835 internal gate t25 flange

or disco pat style

ignore the adaptor Japan man made he's silly

turbo's listed as a TB3401 A/R 60

this is the info I found when searching TB3401 not sure if its the same turbo though

"TB3401 Garrett 409096-0014 42,5 60,1 4,1 6 6/6 50*79 BCCW1"

after thinking about it Im probably gonna sell the manifold as Im selling my car anyway lol

cant see why not

it would get in the way of the stock pipe work

but Im guessing the owner really wanted to fit it using the hks manifold and that turbo

otherwise stock manifold with adaptor from T3 to T25 would have worked easier

There's a hell of a lot of variation in the TA/TB34 series , mostly diesel apps . They are native to Nissan/Hino/Cummins/John Deere etc as OEM .

I was looking at diagrams of some with T3 turbine flanges , some have the round 3 bolt type like Buick Grand Nationals .

If that ones a HKS special you probably won't find it listed .

Loosely speaking many in this series use the TB31 turbine which is what the back yardies call Sierra dash 1/2/3 .

They can have T04E compressors and housings which is why they sometimes get called T3/T04E's .

If we can see inside at the compressor and behind at the turbine housing that will tell more of its story .

Cheers A .

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
