RB25 PFC with 480cc injectors for $1400

You could sell the injectors for say minimum $200 so your PFC cost comes down to max $1200

You should grab this package Ash - its pretty good

and FKYOU for getting another R33 bitch

Depends what your aims are... for your everyday streeter with a hi-flow turbo, slightly bigger injectors etc. an E-Manage Ultimate would be more than enough. If your going to make big power it would be better to spend the extra money and get something that's suited for tuning big turbo's i.e Autronic.

well i dont wanna do to much. car already has FMIC all ill be doing is full turbo back exhaust, GTR fuel pump and slightly bigger injectors and just get it all running well on a safe tune to run the stock turbo so the max boost id like the turbo to run is 10psi so just something that will run all these things happily

so you bought another 33?

haha..

lol well what can i say i started missing my old car so thought id jump back in

go the powerfc, sorry wins hands down in most cases unless you can afford wolf 3d, autronic, motec

it just seems with the other piggyback style systems you need to find a competent tuner

then you are back to the old remap style issue where only 1 or 2 workshops can do / fix it / tune it

so your stuck with lack of competition, options and alternate/cheaper pricing

if i was to do another car , powerfc no questions

i would love a PFC but trying to find one for GTST's are getting pretty hard and also at times very expensive so just keeping my options open

hmmm thats a nice package

lol love you to abu and you know why im getting the 33

coz they are teh best then 32s

thought you cant use R34 PFC on a 33???

Ive got an r34 gtt apexi powerfc I'll sell for $1200 plus post bag

was going to use it but will go for the ecu remap option. (stagea; cbf with rewiring parts of my loom to suit the Pfc)

thought you cant use R34 PFC on a 33???

the stagea used an r33 ecu with an r34 plug on it.

quite weird

there are 3 different pinouts for the stagea series 1 dependant on month

It works fine, needs a small rewire for TPS (r34) to work as attessa for the stagea.

but I CBF. auto + no ign.retard on gearshift = bad gearbox down the track, and I cant be bothered with that.

better off selling, getting $ back and using that on a ecu remap

Just use the factory ECU. Dr-Drift can remap them. More stable than the PFC, can be tuned EXACTLY the same.

If you want anti-spank and wank-control, then go for an Motec for top of the line, Autronic would have to be next, then Haltech (but go the plug in version coz Haltech don't know how to wire their own ECU's)

powerfc is old and overpriced.

E-manage Ultimate is the best replacement for the pfc.

people seem to think it just another safc but it is far from that and is alot better than the pfc in my books. able to have more than one map sorted in the ecu and change maps on the fly by a flick of a switch, launch control, ignition cut limiter just to name some of its features.

not to rub salt in old wounds...but i used to be this arrogant and naive. the powerfc is old...but this means it is tried and proven with heaps of tuners out there.

i sold my emu because they are a piece of shit! no one tunes them and they are bloody hard to tune. and half the functions it has u simply dont need. speed cut eh? just cut the wire on the ecu.. launch control eh? propper pedal control or even a bee*r limiter will do better than the emu.

DONT GET A EMU. it is new and lacks development atm. not enough of a customer base to justify investing in its use, so no one tunes them.

have people had much experience with the wolf 3d v4, or the microtech lt8?

I am able to get either one for under $1000, second hand, and am contemplating of going one of these instead of the pfc.

wolfs come with a boost controller as well, right?

    • Hi all,  I am in the market for an R200 longnose diff out of a Z31 300ZX, or S12 RSX, DR30 skyline, or similar, in a 3.9 ratio.  Preferably a late model one with the M12 crownwheel bolts.  The only easy to find advert for one of these was my ad back in 2007 when I sold it on this forum.  I sold the diff as I had sold the car it goes to, but as it turns out, after 18 years I got the car back late last year, so now I'm looking for the diff !  If anyone knows where to find a longnose R200 LSD with the M12 crownwheel bolts, drop me a line at [email protected] - Bonus paid if soomeone comes up with the original diff (stranger things have happened !).  Cheers   Ben D
    • Hi everyone, I used to post here a bit from 2004-2013, when I owned various Nissans, in particular my S12 RSX gazelle, which was sold in 2007.  As luck would have it, after an 18 year hiatus, the car found its way back to me last year, and over the past 11 months I have had the pleasure of restoring it with my kids.  One thing that I am after in particular is a 3.9 ratio R200 LSD for it.  I actually sold the one out of the car here back in 2007 , and it would be incredible if I could track down who I sold it to, so I can see how they have progressed over the years (and to be honest, to see whether I can get the diff back !).  Anyways, hi all and let me know "where are the R200 Longnose diffs all at these days ?  Cheers Ben D
    • Arms will be the same as the G35 or 350Z, but as above, there was a change in the lower control arm where it connects to the ball joint.  That said, you can remove the ball joint cone from your old ball joints and fit them to the new ball joints.  To be honest, I didn't think the ball joints themselves were different. The main ball joint is a bit awkward to replace, you really need to remove the steering knuckle to press out the old one.  Some people have used tools to remove it in place, but it just seemed too hard to get to. If you are going to press out/in that ball joint, then you may as well just replace the bushings in the LCA and the compression rod.  You can buy the compression rod bushing from Nissan, but the LCA bushes, you will need to go aftermarket. Much cheaper than buying the whole arm.
    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
    • Here's the chart for fuel pressure vs. current draw, assuming your base fuel pressure is 3 bar and you run like 0.5bar boost on WOT, you should only momentarily hit 9amps here and there. (Ignore my prev post, I cannot read a chart these days it seems)
