depends on the extent of the damage

it says "economical writeoff' so there could be all sorts of shit wrong with it not just panel damage

In the world of car repairs, especially imports, that can also mean sweet FA. When the assesor looked at my stagea, after he had gotten off the phone (trying to work out what it was) he pretty much said "so, its an import eh?" Walked around it a couple of times, stuck his head under the front and said "nah, its a financial write off" and the funny thing was, he didn't even open the bonnet (front end hit, and there was bugger all damage to the inner guards and the chassis wasn't touched)

Consequently, it is being repaired as we speak. (not by me though :action-smiley-069: )

didn't know if it was a write off. was told a repo. only in early this week so may not be advertised yet? the guys there were going for a drive in it so don't know how much damage, if any. will maybe find out more details end of the week

would love to believe but i'm thinking pickles might know it's worth a tiny bit more?

lol tiny bit, a LOT more?

dont know about this, this is no rb20. check out those rear guards!

I can confirm that in Perth they are holding a repo'd 33 GTR. Silver in colour, from the small pics iv seen, looks to have stock wheels, bodykit and interior.

It will not be advertised for around a month I have been told (person it was taken from has an option to buy it back).

Too early to say what price they are putting on it...

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
