Work permitting, I might be able to enter. The only worry, the car is not a show car but high performance car. Will know more regarding work roster by mid April.

Sounds exactly like the type of car we're after.

We need to pull some numbers out on the dyno!!!

Hey Star32 how did you go at the power cruz get over 500awkws?

501rwkw... car wouldn't stick to the dyno, kept jumping off and free spinning in every gear... thats why i want this car to come!!!

Great Krystal!! good to have you on board!!

I am sure we can polish the car up and make it pretty!!

Boobs are an extra bonus! :P

Im sure we can too.

Most cars have balls but we have boobs cos its Sally. If that makes sence. :teehee:

id put my car in for something different? Immaculate Black 260RS. Obviously running full GTR engine etc. Stock as a rock tho, 'cept for some coilovers. I have a set of 20" 5 spoke chrome wheels i could use for th show. no dyno runs tho - power wise its untouched.

I will know better by mid Apr. if I can attend or not, but if I am not working and in the country, count me in. I will not miss it for anything.

This time there will be even more boost and even more speening an the rollers.

:(

Is there an option to just do the dyno and not the static display?

Spoke to you tonight, IF your car is ready by then, and pulling some decent numbers... I'll either swap cars with you or take you up on your offer :P

does it have to be a gtr? lol

yes and no... At the meeting we just kind of realised we were missing some of the most famous skylines, so we were just putting the question out there... what have you got? :)

I think we would make you do a power run anyway :/ sup to you though, we have a yellow 34 front end stagea coming in as well :)

CAN. NOT. FCUKING. WAIT! To see that :P

Dr Doof is that bryces car? The yellow RSfour with the R34 front? Nice.

My car will also have a completely polished engine (inlet plenum, cam covers, coilpack cover etc).

It'll have a power FC, full exhaust and better filter so it wont do TOO bad i guess.

Ill PM my mobile number etc to you steven, and to paul also.

Yeah that's bryceys car... can't wait to see it in the flesh :)

and good to know, keep us up to date with how it's going :)

How much is it too enter? My car should hopefully be ready by then.Bit of power n the looks to boot.So if ur interested give us a yell.

All up at the moment, we are looking at a final cost price of $140, but that isn't completely finalised... The entry price is $100 but to enter with SAU we are tacking on a gap payment to help the pain we organisers feel at crunch time :)

This is to help pay for the hiring of all the gear that we get... We are hiring even more gear this time round, so no doubt we will once again be operating at a loss :(

Car will also have about $2.5k of JBL gear and an xbox 360 with 19" lcd in it by then i hope. Setero definitely, game system - if time permits. Happy to chip in an even amount dollar wise.

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
