Hey people.

Im looking for a upgrade for my 33. my car will see lots of street use and a few track days. What are people out there using?? Ive heard of people using rotors off a new model ford?

What are the G4 kits like??

Any info would be great.

Cheers

sounds like you're probably better off just getting some new rda rotors from the group buy (assuming your rotors are still original - they're probably in need of replacement) and get some better brake pads and even some braided hoses.

If you really want to spend more money that that though, the G4's have been extensively discussed (pretty favourable from what i remember).

OR, there's a groupbuy going to upgrade to GTR sized rotors up front using an adapter for the caliper bracket which will mean cooler rotors (due to overall size) which should give you a reasonable improvement.

i have 3 words for you, BRAIDED BRAKE LINES start with them first, i did them on my 33 the other week cleaned up all the pads and discs which are factory items by the way, and noticed a ,massive improvement best 200 dollars i ever spent. I dont see the point in upgrading the calipers the factory ones are more than sufficeient unless your really chasing lap times. In addition there is master cylinder stoppers and Upgraded pads and discs all these items mentioned will come in under the cost of the g4 kit and i think you will be pleasanlty suprised with your stopping power and alot easier on the hip pocket too :)

Depends on your budget!!

A good upgrade would be to get r34 calipers and rotors up front!!

Bleed your brakes and put in some decent fluid!!

Maybe get better brake pads (nissan stock pads held up well at track day- so no need to spend soo much money on expensive pads)

Im getting a price for DBA 4000 slotted rotors front and rear, braided lines and good quality pads.

That will do for now as i have just built a 25/30 and want to get that running and tuned. I will go bigger and better in 12 months or so. Budget will be about 5k for full brake setup. ( front and rear)

I have

DBA 4000 all round.

Bendix bads

Braided lines

Martini dot5 fluid

(Was on semi's also)

Did a day at wakie last sat and had no issues with the brakes what so ever. One thing was - I wasn't used the stopping improvement and was braking waay too early.

Pedal feel was great, no spongyness. I gave them a good work out and for a budget upgrade, Im really happy! (I do a fair bit of track work now so for my budget, I highly reccomend it)

Oh - just looked at your mods...yeah you may benefit with bigger brakes :) (I was only running 200rwkw or so on low boost on sat)
