Hey,

On cold mornings, my power steering was stiff and if it was a hot day the steering was much softer.

After discovering a leak in my power steering rack, i replaced the whole steering rack.

After I got the rack changed over, i noticed that the power steering was still stiff.

As you dry-steer the wheel (turn the wheel left/right) when car is stationary. The steering gets much heavier...

Also noticed today that when my car was sitting in the 30degree sunlight, the power steering was really soft (which i liked)

Would this be related to a dieing power steering pump?

A mechanic suggested that the steering rack i replaced may have contaminated the pump causing it to be stiff the majority of the time. (Had softer steering with my old leaking rack)

So does this sound like a dieing steering pump?

Thanks
