R 2 THE J
Hey guys, I was thinkin about a 2 tone colour scheme for an already painted black 33! I swear if I was back 2 d day when i bought my car i would've chosen a white one! I was thinkin a carbon bonnet and boot?...keep in mind i dont really want to paint the majority of my car...just lil parts..ie...bonnet, boot! Any ideas and pics with a black car would be great!! NA_Goodness
Gloss black and flat black look pretty cool Black bottom (and all the other hard to paint areas) with a red top half, split up with flames or tribal graphics of some description. There was something on IGNITION DVD a while ago about it, and it had a ute painted like that, but I cant remember which one it was. Looked sick though, maybe someone could do some photo shopping for you? DOnt ask me, I'm shit!! Lil_Bobby_260
Ill show you mine when its finished. I have a 260RS, in black. What i'll be doing to pretty it up a lil is to give it a two tone job, by painting a pearl over the black, from the bodyline (near the door handles) and up, so including the bonnet and roof etc. Or, vice versa, from the bodyline down. This is fairly cheap and easy to do. Im thinking an aqua pearl, or maybe a dark blue, just something that stands out a lil, and a pinstripe along the join in about 1/8th inch. The pinstripe will coordinate with the pearl eg if its a dark red pearl, ill run a dark red metallic pinstripe. Can add to it by throwing some glitter in with the pearl and so on. Then re-clear it, obviously. The pin stripe is to A) provide a tidy line to break up the two colours and B) neaten the two finishes, as where you have painted an re-cleared will sit a lil bit higher. Bobbeh PS Street Commodores did this to their monaro. Was flat red, they just made a glitter and orange pearl mix for the top half of the car, looked mint. For a commo. Nice finish on it, anyway. Xicon
I just finshed painting my wifes black fiesta with house of kolor ice pearl there are alot of colours avail and is pretty easy to do all thats required is to rub the car down mask it up and then reclear with this in the clear . While its in sunlight it shows up a little but its movement that gives it a dancing effect but out of the sun its just plain black .Its just another thing that could be done with a black car .
