waiting for u to pop ur head up in this thread Joe :)

oh EJ6, Pva_Glue (Joe) had (still has??) a R33 GTS-4. I agree with Joe, i think for a GTS-4 to be Turbo, it has happened AFTER coming out of the factory.

cheers.

So that pic is an R33 GTS-4? I'm not understanding that..

There is such a beast?

I've been asking the guy I'm buying it from exactly what it is, and he is telling me that there was an R33 GTS-T with AWD in japan.

I really hope my engine is from the stagea though, that would be cool.

EDIT: and this last picture you just posted pva_glue, what is that?

Basically an AWD RB25DET with attessa?

I found this page on a good search. http://www.jbskyline.net/R33/Sedans/

Now what is the GTS25t?

Anyways, heres a quote from that site.

just like the R32, the R33 sedans came in rear- and all-wheel-drive forms, with 4-speed automatic and 5-speed manual trans-missions available.

 Confused even more now.

I guess the only real way to figure shit out is to live in Japan.....

Hi Joe, you finally sold it ! I am still looking for a manual R33 GTS-4, but they are very scarce indeed.

Not sure about your comment on the GTS-4 drivetrain being not as strong as the GTR drivetrain. There are only two differences the clutch, and the n/a cars have only four stud wheel hubs.

If there are any other differences please elaborate, because I have researched this quite thoroughly, and it is exactly why I want a manual car myself.

Yea that's what I would have figured. Which isn't a real big deal because I can have put my own in there and lower the compression..

Anyways, I asked the guy what the engine code is (near the alternator) and he told me it says RB25DET..

Do they say that exactly down there?

>Nameless EJ6: I can understand your confusion man, that turbo RB25 probably WAS taken out of a GTS-4...

Check the second car down on this site...

It was a GTS-4, but now the owner proudly hails that it's a "GTS-4t", or a mini GT-R. He had a turbo and manifold from a RB25DET bolted on to his RB25DE.

So, there were no GTS-4t's officially, the owners modified their GTS-4's to turbo spec.
