R33 Launching.. Letting your tyres down for better launch's ?

Recommended Posts

When you guys go to the track do you strip your car at all ? and if you do what do you take out ?

I was thinking subs / amp's / back seat / space saver & jack etc..

What about rear tyres ??

Does anyone know much about this ??? does it help much ?

how far could you let down 235/40/18 tyres before your going too low in pressure ? they normally run 40psi of pressure could you let them down to 25 ok ?

What pressures do you guys run in your tyres when you race down the 1/4 mile ?

What tricks do you guys do to your R33's to give you an advantage over the quarter ?

Buy a set of pineapples for the rear suspension. You can have em fitted for about ~$175 and this will dramatically improve the rear 'squat' of your car.

i run 1/2 sec faster when i release my tyre pressure from 35 to 22psi

i keep everything when i run, coz i want to know the time i can do in my daily driving.

took out my sub box, space saver (which i am now leaving out (fcuk it), and dropped my tyre pressures to 20psi.

Re: other tips, my best run to date involved loading up on the handbrake with the clutch almost all the way out and then dropping the brake and clutch at the same time.

Also have pineapples etc to get rid of typical skyline axel tramp.
