unlike the cheap flake jobs u see.....this one we actually toke the time and sand it down after each coat of flakes, and the flakes were applied little at a time to prevent it from running as most know, painting sparkles...most of the tme it will run ! its not noticible but in this car....i want it perfect.

so this is a perfect example !!

the result of all this work is that....it feels smooth ... just like reg paint.

this time i painted back of trunk lid, engine bay and trunk

will do the hood later...right now it is not ready as i don't have time to install the top secert hood pins

enjoy

more parts came in .!! .. but my new seats are stuck in customs..:(

more parts came in for the build

couple hundred bucks later i was able to get a tranny conversion kit.

as my 6spd grex trannys uses a 93 r32 housing. which means i have to converted to a 90 so i can use my exsisting clutch set up.

here are the parts !

IMGP0465.jpg

hey btw: the engine is finally on its way from AUS,

but in the mean time i got somemore goodies !

this is a moke up of the spoiler stands i am making with a CNC machine.

the original one were too lay back, and too low...so this is a copy of the Voltex spoiler stand. and over all, it's 28inches tall...not too high but just enough.

i will have the real thing made up by next week !

then

IMGP0364.jpg

IMGP0363.jpg

i ditched the original carbon center console plate i had made a year ago when the car is dead...i thought the last project center console was already perfect...but well the car has been sitting for a year...things gets old even you don't drive it..so i am going to update alittle of it

changing the original carbon plate to a more expensve carbon kevlar one, the placment of the machines will be different as well..

i am thinking about sticking, a push start button, some led lights, toggles, boost controller, yoshio factory water temp and other useless guages in there as well...seems like there's more BS in it..but i am asure you, it will more clean then the first version. then i realized the center glovebox lid doesn't match...so i am making that in CFK as well :)

P1020954.jpg

then

the RED Bride seats are gone...in replace is a set of blk gradation Zeta 3 in L

i have gotten made fun of so much ..cuz my car looks like a JDM wanna be integra Type R...so decided to change.

btw: i have Vios 3 for sale, they are new..but don't fit me..so i went ahead and bought the zetas in L.

pic soon !

oh also when my 80mm defi tach comes in, i am ripping my oem 300km cluster out and sticking a tach, oil pres and boost in replace of the oem unit..with carbon kevlar as a back ground !!

that will be very soon :)

Did I tell you your my hero? :(

Mate, Im sorry for saying this so late, but, why the hell didn't you shorten the engine mounts and lower the block instead of modifying everything around the block?

wow.... i can see why u called it project horny... intense dude!! workin 3 jobs aswell to pay for it all!! top stuff! u will certainly have a beast 4 keeps when ur done! ill keep following. good luck

:(

Lol hes just posting everything from the canadian gtr site copy paste style, and some of em aren't in order :(

You cant lower it with the rb26 sump, it comes very close to the crossmember as it is.

What about RB25 sump?

Im looking into this conversion but there isn't much info on the front sump/diff

Hey Felexy..

Do you have pics of the sump/diff adaptor plate?

Could you explain/show me how it all fits in together?

Any info would be greatly appreciated..

cheers mate

here are some pics on page 1, basically you buy the adapter/pickup from pro-engines for $1000, there is no easier way to do it. As far as im know the rb25 awd sump is the same as the rb26 one, so no you can tlower the motor without lowering the crossmember.

this is the sump adapter made by <name removed by Moderator>. Worst thing ever made and all the holes are off and it doesn't fit!

i got another one made here in canada. and this doesn't cost $1000, more like $100.

btw: my rb30 bottom was from <name removed by Moderator> worst thing ever end up we had to take the thing apart and rebuild it. and he charged me $8000aud and had a 1 year delay. yes i waited 1 year for his shitty bottom end !

    • Had I known the diff between R32 and R33 suspension I would have R33 suspension. That ship has sailed so I'm doing my best to replicate a drop spindle without spending $4k on a Billet one.
    • OEM suspension starts to bind as soon as the car gets away from stock height. I locked in the caster and camber before cutting off the kingpin. I then let the upright down in a natural (unbound) state before re-attaching it. Now it moves freely in bump and droop relative to the new ride height. My plan is to add GKTech arms before the car is finished so I can dial camber and caster further. It will be fine. This isn't rocket science. Caster looks good, camber is good, upper arm doesn't cause crazy gain and it is now closer to the stock angle and bump steer checks out. Send it.
    • Pay careful attention to the kinematics of that upper arm. The bloody things don't work properly even on a normal stock height R32. Nissan really screwed the pooch on that one. The fixes have included changing the hole locations on the bracket to change the angle of the inner pivot (which was fairly successful but usually makes it impossible to install or remove the arm without unbolting the bracket from the tower, which sucks) and various swivelling upper arm designs. ALL the swivelling upper arm designs that look like a capital I (with serifs) suck. All of them. Some of them are in fact terribly unsafe. Even the best one of them (the old UAS design) shat itself in short order on my car. The only upper arm that works as advertised and is pretty safe is the GKTech one. But it is high maintenance on a street car. I'm guessing that a 600HP car as (stupidly, IMO) low as you are going is not going to be a regular driver. So the maintenance issues on suspension parts are probably not going to be a problem. But you really must make sure that however your fairly drastically modded suspension ends up, that the upper arms swing through an arc that wants to keep the inner and outer bolts parallel. If the outer end travels through an arc that makes that end's bolt want to skew away from parallel with the inner bolt, you will build up enormous binding and compressing forces in the bushes, chew them out and hate life. The suspension compliance can actually be dominated by the bush binding, not the spring rate! It may be the case that even something like the GKTech arm won't work if your suspension kinematics become too weird, courtesy of all the cut and shut going on. Although you at least say there's no binding now, so maybe you're OK. Seeing as you're in the build phase, you could consider using R33/4 type upper arms (either that actual arm, OEM or aftermarket) or any similar wishbone designed to suit your available space, so alleviate the silliness of the R32 design. Then you can locate your inner pivots to provide the correct kinematics (camber gain on compression, etc).
    • The frontend wouldn't go low enough because the coilover was max low and the upper control arm would collapse into itself and potentially bottom out in the strut tower. I made a brace and cut off the kingpin and then moved the upright down 1.25" and welded. i still have to finish but this gives an idea. Now I can have a normal 3.25" of shock travel and things aren't binding. I'm also dropping the lower arm and tie rod 1.25".
    • Motor and body mockup. Wheel fitment and ride height not set. Last pic shows front ride height after modifying the front uprights to make a 1.25" drop spindle.
