YogiR33
meh i've always been a fan of Synergy 8000, but apparently Synergy 8000 and BP Ultimate is the same thing, but Optimax is good to use every now and again coz the additives inside actually clean your injectors, or so i've been told Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/21364-optimax/#findComment-451900 Share on other sites

Although, great, go to Coles and spend 20% more than any other supermarket out there and get a small discount off Optimax.. hmm Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/21364-optimax/#findComment-451968 Share on other sites

inark
please i ran 17psi on the stock turbo with stock everything else other than ECU and on optimax it ran fine but started pinging a little... then i tried it on Ultimate... samething... then tried it on mobil 8000 whatever it is and there was no difference at all... its all 98 octane... all these "theories" ppl have are all wives tales. Until i see some proper non biased testing i'll fill up on whatevers closest... which at the moment is shell. I dont do shopping anyway... but my gf does and she lives near coles so i'll just get her dockets Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/21364-optimax/#findComment-451981 Share on other sites
slayer_1971
The deal is spend $30 at coles/myer stores and you get 4 cents a litre off your petrol bill..... though I think it'll work similar to safeway in that you've only got a week or so to use it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/21364-optimax/#findComment-451999 Share on other sites
predator
its all 98 octane... all these "theories" ppl have are all wives tales. There are differences..the worst thing about Optimax is that it will vary. Fill up one day, fine, good performance. Fill up another day from another station and it starts popping and things, put foot flat to the floor and the same power just isn't there. Everything else exactly the same. Even on the dyno there can be differences in the maximum power the car can be tuned for because of varying octane ratings from supposedly "98 octane" fuel. It would be silly to assume its all the same, the chemical composition and other additives can vary massively between different brands. One of the mags did some testing as well on the "actual" octane content of these fuels too via chemical testing.. and I don't think any of them were actually a proper 98. predator
blah.. 27 July 2003 FUEL DISCOUNTS ARE HERE Coles Myer's new fuel discount offer begins at 7am tomorrow, Monday July 28, at 151* new Coles Express Service Stations across Victoria. The offer will provide Coles Myer customers with a 4 cents per litre discount on Shell fuels when they spend $30 or more at Coles or Bi-Lo supermarkets or Liquorland. Bonus Fly Buys points will also be on offer throughout the launch period. These offers include: Customers who spend $30 or more in one transaction on any or all of the five products on the front page of the Coles launch-week catalogue will receive 1000 bonus Fly Buys points; Spend $20 or more on Bi-Lo Branded products (excluding Meat & Deli Depts) in one transaction and collect 500 bonus Fly Buys points; triple Fly Buys points on purchases over $30 in one transaction at Liquorland; and, double Fly Buys points on fuel purchases over $5 at Coles Express Service Stations. Coles Myer Chief Executive Officer John Fletcher said the Victorian launch - the first stage of a planned national rollout - would change the dynamics of the supermarket and liquor store offer in Australia. "From tomorrow the message is that when you shop at Coles, Bi-Lo or Liquorland the savings don't stop when you leave the store," Mr Fletcher said. "We are offering our supermarket and Liquorland customers quality fuel at a great price and - through our extensive statewide network - at great convenience. "The vast majority of our Coles Express Service Stations are very close to our supermarkets and Liquorland stores. "Our Coles Express stations will all be co-branded Coles Express and Shell and display discount details prominently on their pylon." Mr Fletcher said that as well as the promise of a fuel discount and Fly Buys, supermarket and liquor store customers would be offered a wide range of regular specials on groceries and liquor on top of great prices already offered day in, day out. "For the customer, this is a great offer. If you shop with us you will get great prices on a great range of groceries and liquor and, from 7am Monday, if you spend $30 or more at Coles, Bi-Lo and Liquorland, you will get four cents per litre off the pump price when you buy Shell fuel from Coles Express. Thrown into that mix are Fly Buys points - including bonus double and triple points - on supermarket and liquor purchases and on fuel purchases. It is a fantastic offer," Mr Fletcher said. Given a successful Victorian rollout, a national petrol discount offer would be fully operational at over 580 Coles Express Service Stations across Australia by mid-2004. "This is a new era for Coles Myer, one that will provide long term benefits for our customers and shareholders. "The Coles Express convenience stores also offer us a significant new business opportunity - we'll be applying our economies of scale and retail expertise to these." Customers can find more information at www.colesexpress.com, including a store locator and to sign up for e-mail and SMS alerts for when further sites are rolled out.
