Do it ureself man its easy as, not like u have a 1jz there:rolleyes:

the only "big" problem is pulling off that crossover thingy off to get to the plugs.

Plus it gives u a warm fuzzy knowing u did it ureself:D

Oh yeah and if ure engine has a fair few ks on it dont use an oil flush. Drain as good as possible after running it for a while and just let it drip for ages. If u use an oil flush it will make the new oil cleaner but it will get rid of the nice gooey protective coating that has built up inside. Then u will probably notice some ticking noises on idle.

Adam32,

I take my Skyline to Per4manz for servicing.... SST don't do any servicing, but Grant certainly does... A little pricey compared to some others, but he does know his stuff. Maybe they are just booked up for servicing...

JHB,

They are not the same company, but they are next to each other. Grant does all his dyno work at SST.

I dont know about you...

you polly know more about your car than other ppl in a way that how your car should run...

I'll say dont just pop your car in and get just serviced... stay there and watch and learn what they do so later in time you can do the same without $$$ of machanic fee...

now I know a lot more than b4 so I will be trying do it my self on next service...

cheers

Joe :)

ps. Brett guess what? I got new sound and it's AWESOME MB QUARTZ RULES! heheh....

Joe,

For generally servicing, i.e. oil change, cleaning/regapping plugs etc yeap thats easy enough, but considering my car has just landed in OZ, I believe a dyno tune for ozy fuel is cheap insurance.

I go to Marows balcatta for my regular warranty service. Cost bout $80. Includes Mobil 1 synthetic oil and filter change, no changing plugs etc. (hey at least not for 100,000kms). Service comes with a warranty too.

Anthony there has one kick arse GTR. Why go to a tuning joint for basic stuff like a service? I'd do mine myself but, I have to for warranty.

i would go to a regular guy, as i stated preciously but im having a few nissan related problems which a regular servicer may not understand ie HICAS, and EGT

thats why i wanted some advice on a more specialised service agent
