Toyota dealer probably won't touch it, parts should be similar or the same. It will be like early model jdm s15 and late aus spec s15's, nissan won't cover the early grey import s15's. More to the point why would you want a Prius?

simple,...put a 2JZ in ther and be the ultimate sleepr car.....

My GF wants it. She found one for 14 K 2000 model. I told her its grey import.

I want a Corolla for myself... petrol prices are going up every month, you guys with Skylines will be spending your week's pay on a single tank soon lol

what a waste of a perfectly good run about.....I could've put it to much better use

too right!! i would have welded steel rods in place of the shocks and driven at top speed over speed humps and small jumps etc, then i would have smoked it up till the tyres blew, and kept going till the rims broke off, then i would have put a brick on the accelerator and dropped the oil from the engine till it seized, then i probly would have shot it to bits....... then burnt it.....

it would have been a nice full day of fun!

Seen the price of diesel lately? :down:

A VW Polo TDi uses about half a litre more fuel per 100km than a Prius (comparing officially quoted Combined Cycle figures). While it does cost around $5K more used:

* The Polo is 6 years newer, and still has a warranty

* The Polo doesn't have to use ultra-low grip tyres, so its safer

* The Polo is less complex and can be serviced / repaired by VW Australia

* Worn-out batteries isn't a bank breaker

Total Cost of Ownership, I don't know if a Prius is that much cheaper than buying a small diesel hatch.

Environmentally, as a total package (not just emissions), its not head and shoulders better either.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
