I have bought a pair of R34 GTR seats for my R34 GTT coupe.

I thought they were going to bolt straight in, especially after helping Joeyjoejoe put R33 GTR seats in his R33 GTS-T. Anyway they didn't. I have managed to get 3 out of 4 bolts in(2 rears, and inside front or 2 fronts and inside rear).

Firstly can anyone point me to a post that deals with this, my searches havent been very successful?

Failing that, can anyone tell me is this meant to be a straight bolt on swap? If not, any ideas on what I need to do to make em fit? If it is, what's going wrong, bent rails or something?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, so the GTT seat rail swap doesn't appear like it's gonna work. The GTT rails are incorporated into the seat. Any other ideas while I wait for a response from Alien?

Cheers.

how are they incorporated? my r34 seats had 4 bolts holding the rail to the seat, they popped off and the rail came off

The seat rails have the four bolts in the bottom of the chair and another 2 bolts each side at the hinge point, i.e. the rails seem to be incorporated with the hinging mechanism. To get the whole thing off I have a total of 8 bolts plus there is a rod going through the back of the seat at the hinge point.

What year do you have? Sedan or Coupe? GTT?

Cheers mate.

I am going to have a look over the weekend to check these rails arent bent or whatever , this is shitting me to tears, bloody much harder than it sounds like it should be.

sounds like to me that the rails aren't perpendicular to the car. pull up on the rail adjustment lever and twist and it should be right.

the left and right rails are independent of each other when not bolted to the car. i.e. you can have the left one full forward and the right one full backward.

R34 GTR seats do not fit in a R34 GTT the GTT has a different floor pan to the other skylines but i am shore with a little bit of fabrication you can make it fit. I would just have a bit welded on to the seat rail and then re drilled to suit them.

as he said, that would be the easiest way to make it fit ur GTT

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
