Hi Guys,

Does anyone know of any reliable importers who can ship to Melbourne? I've looked at using J-Spec but they don't seem to reply to emails nor do they have a contact number, so I don't think I'll be using them. If someone could recommend me a decent importer it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

TCX

J-Spec gets hundreds of emails a day, so you just need to be a little patient for their reply :P

other than that, they are a good import company, i got my r33 through them, very happy, i'd recommend them :)

Carizma International

Kamikaze Motors

Or ring Tim (Soon to be posting some cars for sale on SAU), the number posted in my signature.

He is a private importer and has some nice cars for sale, well looked after and good condition.

Call him for more details.

+1 for being patient with J-spec. They helped me import my V35 and were very, very helpful once they get going.

As an alternative, check out the guys at SSV... another great bunch of guys who know their stuff.

or give us a call at 03 9415 7150 or email/PM if you can't wait til then!

cheers,

david @ Carizma

tell us you're from SAU and we should remember you.

I'm looking at Carizma, will probably go to their office on the weekend.

I had the same reservations about J-spec when I was looking to choose an importer. I stuck with them and can honestly say that they've been fantastic from the get go (3 weeks into the process now). Craig is very patient and answers all of my questions, even when I was asking nearly daily whether the car had been shipped yet!

Check out this place in Bayswater, i picked up my S2 Stag from here just over a year ago.

Very friendly and helpfull.

They usually got a nice selection of cars to check out already landed ready to buy.

Been around for a while.

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
