Hi looking to get more power from my 20det.

I know that its proberly been cover befor.

Anyways my car atm is running

3" mandral from turbo back

Hybrid fmic

Stock ECU (have a mines ecu in garage for it)

Stock fuel pump (getting upgraded to to walbro in tank unit)

Stock turbo

I only looking to make around the 180-200kw atw. As its my family car.

What would be a good resonable turbo upgrade? Have around 600 to spend on turbo

i was thinking a series 2 25 turbo??

some sort of t3/4 hybrid

Was also thinking of a high mount set up??

Any help would be great.

No point going high mount, use your standard manifold with a S2 RB25 turbo + elbow. You can retain all your current lines, dump/exhaust and intercooler piping etc as its straight bolt on

Get the fuel pump in and get the ECU remaped

You should see 180rwkw + but that won't get you to 200rwkw

Its been done a million times

If I was going for a responsive 200rwkw I would go with a HKS2510 or maybe even a HKS2530, even an RB25 high flow but not too huge - all those will blow your budget of $600

for $600 an rb25 turbo is within your budget and power levels

its a close fit, and requires very little work to make it fit and work

good response and more average power, dont bother with an ebay t3/t4

they're junk, laggy, old school technology and require extra work to make it fit

should i also look at injector upgrade to like gtr ones??

Nahh no need.. i did the same thing with the RB25 turbo.. You'll just need a fuel pump lke a Bosch 040 or 044 then put in the ECU and its 180-190KW

My setup is almost complete just need to get the exhaust fitted and get the re-map done from CEF11E

hows the engine running with the rb25 turbo untuned?

it depends on the boost your running. stock rb25 boost and it'll be fine, but wont feel any different to the stock 32 turbo. when i put one on my 32 i wound it up to 13psi and found it was slightly leaning out top end.

    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
