Hi Guys,

Car goes into the painters tonight and the wheels have been ordered.

Will be rolling the guards before I drop it off.

I know not many people on here will be a fan but thought i would update with the progress anyway.

Wheels are Zenetti Mascurade in 20x8.5 on the fronts and 20x10's on the rear.

These should fill up the guards and are not too over the top.

Wheels come with removable accents on the spokes, these will be painted the same colour as the car. will probably drive it without them all the time and just put on for show or cruises etc.

Personally, not a fan of the wheels, but going off what you described in the other thread about the paint, i think it would work and will look quite good

What offsets you going with? reason i ask is I know a lot of the Ozzy wheels don't have offsets ideal for these cars.

Curious how much as well, cause as an example i got my Volk SF Challenge for around $3k from Japan, 19" with rubber worth $900 per corner, and over 80% tread. Oh and not a mark on the wheels.

Took a fair bit of time to find them, but definitely worth it.

Oh and the most import thing - Pics when it's done :-)

Hey the rims look good... However you dont need to roll up your guard because they will fit. i have zenetti kaiotik 20 by 8.5 and 20 by 10's at the back. However i had to add spacers to get the right off set. Especially for the front. I reckon the best fit would be 20 by 9.5 front and 20 by 10.5 rears.... with an off set of about 20-25.. Im not sure about the offset on my rims or yours but somewhere between 20-25 should be good.

Whatever you do, just don't get really low profile tyres... lol. It is a pain, from spotting when the tyre is punctured to scraping the outer rim due to tight roundabouts or what not raises on the ground.

Yeh.. i know what you mean I had a flat tyre and drove on it without realising that it was flat. I had to replace the tyre which was still new :--(

    • It's almost certainly a reluctor generating an "AC" waveform. No, ECUs don't generally read those - they're usually set up for PWM square wave 0-5v stuff.

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
